Y/N POV

After the library incident, my mood was completely ruined. That rude jerk! I hate him. How could anyone be so cold and angry over a book? Ugh, I'll deal with him later. For now, I think the girls' lecture is over, so I should catch up with them.

I’m sitting on a bench, headphones in, letting my favorite song drown out my thoughts. Suddenly, someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see the girls—finally, they’re here! I jump up and hug them.

“You guys came! Thank god,” I exclaim, feeling relieved.

“Sorry we kept you waiting,” Jisoo says with an apologetic smile. “But, hey, why are you out here? Weren't you in the library?”

“Ugh, it's a long story,” I sigh, taking off my headphones and stuffing them into my bag. “I'll tell you about it later. Right now, we should head home—it’s already evening.”

Lisa nods. “Yeah, you're right. Let’s get going.”

We start walking toward the bus stop, chatting and laughing as usual. After a few minutes, the bus arrives, and we hop on, sinking into the seats as we ride off into the evening.

Time skip

I got home as usual, and the house was quiet. Mom wasn’t home yet, so I went straight to my bedroom and changed into something more comfortable—sweatpants and a cozy hoodie. My stomach growled loudly, reminding me I hadn’t eaten since lunch.

"I’m starving," I mutter to myself, heading downstairs.

I rummage through the kitchen, deciding to make some ramen. Quick and easy, just what I need. While the water boils, I glance at the clock—Mom won’t be home until late tonight, so I’ll have to fend for myself.

Once the ramen is ready, I grab a bowl and plop down on the sofa. I flick on the TV and scroll through channels until I land on a K-drama I’ve been following.

“Perfect,” I say with a satisfied smile, settling in.

As I start slurping my ramen, completely engrossed in the drama, the tension in my shoulders melts away. It's moments like these—just me, my ramen, and a good show—that make the day feel a little bit better.

An hour later, I heard the familiar sound of my mom's car pulling into the driveway. A few moments later, the front door opened.

"Mom!" I called out, rushing to hug her as she stepped inside. She hugged me back tightly, her warmth instantly comforting.

Aww, my sweet child. How was your day?” she asked as she pulled away and sat down on the sofa, looking at me with a smile.

“It was good! I made some new friends,” I said, sitting next to her. “There are four of them, and they’re all so kind-hearted and caring. I feel lucky to have met them.”
