Chapter 12:

IN POV OF VALENTINA

Damn, Ngl I was feelin hot asf after getting ready with Amanda. We did our makeup and hair fucking incredible , and I can't even lie im lookin' like a whole ass snack. Deadass I was even feelin like one especially after that tiktok I posted. Pure pettiness, and I'm lowkey living for it.

As we roll up to Wendy's, the neon lights are flashing, giving me life. I know we're about to walk into some major drama with the boys, but honestly? I don't give a fuck they brung it to themselves sooo it's like try me fr.

"Just act chill, aight?" I whisper to Amanda as we walk over. "Don't crash out  right away."

"Girl, you know ts hard but I'll try for you," she smirks, but I can see her nerves, too.

We slide into the booth across from Alex and Alan, and I can feel the tension thick in the air. Alex's eyes light up when he sees me. "Val, you made it!"

"Yeah, you said we needed to talk, huh?" I shoot back, trying to play it cool and not lose my shit but inside, my heart's racing like I just chugged a Red Bull.

Alan starts, "Listen, we're really sorry about everything. Like, for real, for real."

"Sorry don't mean shit when you go making big moves online," I say, crossing my arms. "How the hell am I supposed to take you seriously after that?"

Alex leans forward, his eyes softening like he's about to drop some sad puppy shit on me. "I know how it looks, but I meant what I said in that post. I care about you, Val."

"Then why the hell were you all up in Jasmine and Brianna's business?" I fire back, trying to keep my guard up.

"Because I messed up! I was just trying to sort things out, but I swear to you, it's over with them. They mean nada to me," he insists, his voice desperate.

I glance at Amanda, who's giving me that "let's hear him out" look. "So you expect me to trust you after all that? You know how it felt to see that post, right?"

"I know," Alex says, running a hand through his messy hair like he's stressed. "I messed up, but you gotta believe me. You're the one I want, Val."

"Stop the bullshit," Amanda interjects, leaning in. "How the hell can we trust you two when you've already shown us you can't?"

Alan shifts in his seat, glancing between us. "Look, we get it. We've fucked up. But we wanna make it right. Just give us a chance to prove ourselves."

"Prove yourselves? How the hell do you plan on doing that?" I challenge, raising an eyebrow.

"Let's start by being real. No más juegos, no more bullshit," Alan says, looking straight into my eyes. "We'll show you we can do better."

I take a breath, weighing my options. I could just ghost them, say "Fuck this," but a part of me is tempted to give Alex another shot.

"Fine. But if you fuck this up again, I'm done. No second chances," I say, pointing my finger at him like I'm calling him out.

"Deal," Alex says, a relieved smile breaking through the tension.

"Okay, but here's the deal. You gotta cut off Jasmine and Brianna completely. If you really mean what you say, that should be easy, right?"

"Absolutely. I'll block them right now," Alex says, pulling out his phone and tapping away like it's a life-or-death situation.

I watch him do it, and my heart feels a little lighter. "There. Done. Can we just chill and eat without any more drama?" he asks, looking hopeful.

"Sure, but I'm still keeping an eye on you, Alex," I say, smirking back.

"Wouldn't have it any other way," he grins.

IN POV OF AMANDA:

Watching Valentina and Alex go back and forth is like some intense-ass reality show. The tension is crazy, and honestly? I can't get enough. But then I remember my own drama with Alan, and I'm feeling the pressure.

Alan's been quiet, his eyes flicking between me and Val, clearly nervous. "So, what's up with you and Val? You two seem tight now," he asks, trying to sound casual but failing hard.

"Yeah, we've been through a lot. Just looking out for her, you know?"

"Yeah, but what about us?" Alan's tone is serious, and I can see the worry in his eyes.

I hesitate, my chest tightening. "I don't know, Alan. You hurt me, and it's hard to just brush that off."

"I know, and I regret it like crazy. But I'll do whatever it takes to earn your trust back," he says earnestly, leaning closer.

"I just need time. You can't expect me to act like everything's cool right away," I reply, trying to keep my tone steady.

"Fair enough. I'll wait. Just don't shut me out completely, okay?" he pleads, looking genuinely concerned.

"I'll try, but you gotta be straight with me. No más secretos," I say, holding his gaze.

"Promise," he replies, and I see a flicker of hope in his eyes.

Just then, Valentina interrupts. "So, what's the plan for the rest of the night? I'm starving, and this place is kinda packed."

"Let's eat, then hit up the arcade or something," I suggest, feeling a sense of normalcy creeping back in.

"Sounds good to me," Valentina says, and I can tell she's in a better place now, too.

As we start eating into our food, I can't shake the feeling that this is just the beginning. The shit to come is probably gonna be way way wayyy worse, but if we can all commit to being honest and open, maybe we can figure this shit out together.
