Four days later, Lennon was in her own bedroom getting ready for school. She tilted her head as she looked at herself in the full length mirror; the shorts she was wearing made her legs look long, and the crop top and the large army-green jacket hide the bruises on her arms. She hated how small her five two frame was.
Liam knocked on her door, "Hey, are you ready?"
"Yeah," Lennon grabbed her brown over the shoulder bag and gave her brother a forced smile. "Let's go start our first day at Beacon Hills High."
Lennon had to have her mother drive her and Liam to school seeing as her car was in the lake. The insurance was covering it and within the week Lennon would get a new car. Liam had lacrosse tryouts that Lennon couldn't sit through, so instead, she went and got their schedules.
"Lennon!" a feminine voice called from down the hall. She turned and saw the girl that had saved her from the lake. The red head made her way over to Lennon. "Hey."
A forced smile made a way to Lennon's face. "I'm sorry, do I know you?"
"Yeah. I'm Lydia," she nodded and looked at the other girl with worry. "Me and my friends saved you when you were drowning. Are you feeling alright?"
Lennon nodded and looked the ground, shaking her leg as she did so. "Oh, yeah, thanks for that. I'm fantastic."
"Good, we were worried," Lydia smiled a perfect smile. It took the Dunbar girl a moment to understand who 'we' were, but she realized it was probably the people Lydia was with.
"Thanks. Uh, actually I have to go find my brother, but it was nice meeting you, Lydia," Lennon smiled and started to walk away before Lydia grabbed her arm. "Wait! Find me at lunch, I'll sit with you!"
Looking at her oddly, Lennon smiled with a forced chuckle. "Yeah, alright."

Finding Liam was easy. He was attempting to open his locker; key word, attempting. Lennon laughed and moved him away with her hip, opening the locker easily. Liam sent his sister a thankful look and she leaned back on the lockers beside him. "How was lacrosse?"
"Good," he said, accepting his schedule. "But these two juniors came up to me after practice, one was the captain. They started asking me these weird questions."
"Well, let me know if they start harassing you; I'll beat them up," Lennon swung her arm over her brother's shoulders with a smirk. They walked down the hall together, both thinking that school was hell. "I had a girl invite me to sit with her at lunch."
Liam shrugged, "At least you aren't alone."
"You're sitting with Mason, right?" Lennon asked. Liam nodded and pulled to a stop. Lennon dropped her arm and looked at him weirdly. "Hey, what's up?"
