Aditi's Perspective

The sun was high in the sky as I stepped out of the car, the heat of the day only adding to the warmth bubbling inside me. My fingers smoothed down the front of my dress—a new one I had picked out just for today, Kabir's promotion party. The fabric was soft, a deep black-brown tie-dye pattern that hugged my body in all the right places. The long sleeves fit snugly against my arms, and the neckline dipped low enough to show off just the right amount of skin without being too much.

As I walked toward Kabir's office building, my heart fluttered. He always had a way of making me feel like the only person in the world, and I couldn't wait to see him today. There was something about him in his work environment that I found undeniably attractive—the focus in his eyes, the way his sharp jaw would clench when he was deep in thought, his perfectly tailored suit that emphasized his broad shoulders and toned arms. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of how he would react when he saw me in this dress.

The cool air of the office building greeted me as I stepped inside, a welcome contrast to the heat outside. I took the elevator up to his floor, my heart racing in anticipation. My fingers twitched with the desire to touch him, and my mind replayed the feel of his lips on mine the last time we were alone. It had been so heated, so intense, that just thinking about it now sent a wave of warmth through my entire body.

The building was quiet as I made my way to his office, the clack of my heels echoing off the polished floors. When I reached his door, it was slightly ajar, giving me a perfect view of him. He was sitting at his desk, deep in concentration, one hand running through his hair as his eyes remained glued to the screen in front of him. His suit jacket was draped over the back of his chair, leaving him in just a crisp white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, exposing his strong forearms.

The sight of him like that—so serious, so focused—sent a thrill down my spine. His presence always had that effect on me, even in the simplest moments.

I knocked softly, and his head snapped up. The moment his eyes met mine, I saw the change in his expression—a slow, knowing smile spread across his lips, his gaze traveling from my face, down my body, and back up again.

"You're early," he said, his voice low and teasing as he pushed away from the desk and stood, making his way toward me with that confident, easy stride that always made my knees weak.

I shrugged, stepping into the office and closing the door behind me. "Couldn't wait."

His eyes darkened as he stopped in front of me, his gaze lingering on the dress. "You're going to kill me in that," he murmured, his voice rough with barely concealed desire.

My heart fluttered at the intensity in his eyes, the way he looked at me like I was something he wanted to devour. "You like it?"

He didn't answer right away, but his hands slid around my waist, pulling me closer until I was pressed against him. The warmth of his body seeped through his shirt, and I could feel the rapid thrum of his heart, mirroring my own. His breath fanned against my ear as he leaned in, his voice a husky whisper. "You have no idea."
