Part 14

Leap of 7 days.

Haseena is staying with her abbu and ammi. And ammi is worried for Ks, but her abbu is quite angry with Ks. Hm hasn't received any calls or msgs from Ks which is making her worry about her. As is also very busy and tense, now-a-days so Hm doesn't know what the issue is.

Hm, Abbu and Ammi are having lunch while watching TV, when they see news, and on it, Ks is been interviewed.

Interviewer: Toh kya aap wapas apni company sambhalne wali hai?

Ks: Ji. Mai aab thik ho chuki hu, so mai meri CEO ki position wapas le lungi.

Interviewer: Pr phir Anubhav singh ka kya? Companies toh unke naam pe thi na?

Ks: Ji nhi. Ye rahe proofs joh saaf saaf batate hai ki As ne humari company humse cheen li thi. Infact, ye raha wo video jisme saaf saaf dikh raha hai ki mere accident ke peeche bhi unka hi hath tha. Itna kam tha ki unhone apne hone wali fiancé ko dhoka bhi diya hai. Ye rahi wo saari proofs.

Proofs started flashing on the TV. Hm is shocked. Abbu is shocked as well. Ammi is smiling and proud.

Hm: Kya hai ye sab aur ye... Karishma yeh sab jhut bol rahi hai. Ye ho hi nhi sakta.

Interviewer: Pr aise same sabot toh As ne bhi apke khilaaf pesh kiye hai. Uspe aapka kya kehna hai?

Ks: Ye rahe uss related proofs. Aur ye sab humari begunaahi ka sabot.

Interviewer: Toh wo saari ladkiya kon thi? Aur company ke kale dhande?

Before Ks can speak, Commissioner (Cm) comes from behind.

Cm: Ye aise ghatiya words na use kare plz. Aur rahi baat unn ladkiyo ki toh wo ladkiya toh Ks ko apna saviour aur behen manti hai. Unn sabko Ks ne bachaya tha ek bohot bade racket se. Wo ladkiya abhi bahar hi hai, aap unka bhi interview le sakte hai, wo Ks keliye already gavahi de chuke hai. Aur Ks apne hi mehnat se banayi hui company ko kyu dubane ka prayas karengi. Joh bhi scam kiya tha, wo As ne kiya tha. Isme Ks ki koi galti nhi thi.

Ks smiles a bit seeing Cm, who pats her head softly.

Ks: Hum nikalte hai aab. I hope humne sab kuch clear kr diya hai.

Saying so, Ks goes away.

Here Hm, Abbu are shocked but ammi is happy.

Ammi: Acha hua ki humne divorce file nhi karvaya. Aree bhala itni aachi ladki hume dhunke bhi milti kabhi? Krishu beta toh heera hai heera. Uss Anubhav ke pyaar mai Hasu andhi ho gayi thi andhi.

Abbu: Divorce aab bhi hoga. Hum Saksham hai humari beti ko apni princess banake rakhne keliye. Hum Karishma ko hargiz apni beti ke life se khelne nhi denge. Wo thik ho gayi hai lekin usne jo kiya galat tha.

Ammi: Wo tab mentally unstable thi.

Abbu and ammi start fighting but here, Hm is heartbroken. She just runs to the room, crying and breaking things in the room.

Ammi and abbu try a lot to persuade her to come out and have dinner but she doesn't agree.

Ammi: Usko thodi der akela chod dete hai.

Abbu nods and both of them go to their room.

Here Hm is crying a lot and remembering all the memories of As and hers. When, suddenly her mind starts showing her memories of her and Ks. She smiles a bit, remembering those, but then remembers how harshly she berated Ks.

Hm is struck in a loop where she likes Ks, but then thinks that Ks was the reason why As is in jail, and the failed marriage, but did she want a fake life with As, no, but she did love him.

She is crying silently, sitting on the floor, hugging her knees to her chest, when she feels another person's presence beside her. She turns her head to see Ks sitting beside her.

Hm doesn't say anything nor does Ks. Hm keeps crying silently and Ks just sits there silently, letting Hm have someone to rely on, but not overwhelming her as well.

Hm falls asleep, and Ks looks at the clock to see the time as 6 am.

Ks puts Hm on the bed and climbs down the balcony. Ks goes home, freshens home and goes to the office. This continues for 2 weeks, neither Hm nor Ks speak. KS just brings Hm food, somehow, she always brings something that Hm cannot deny.

But in all this, Ks's health has taken a toll. Little to no sleep. The previous injuries, and over-exertion and stress is getting to her, but she doesn't say anything to anyone.

Ammi and abbu know about Ks coming at night and going away in morning. Abbu wants to throw away Ks from the house, but ammi doesn't agree with this, so he cannot do it.

Again, Ks enters the room but this time, Hm is in better position. She is sad but she is moving on from her past. For the first time, Hm looks at Ks with love but Ks's face is blank.

Both sit in the normal position, Hm sneaks some glances of Ks but Ks is looking straight at the wall.

After sometime, Hm sneakily looks at Ks to see her sleeping in sitting position. Hm stares at her cute face for sometime and slowly puts her hand on her cheeks.

Hm: Humne apko itna hurt kiya aur aap yaha har din humare pas baithti hai. Kuch nhi bolti kabhi. Bas baithke humara sath deti hai. Hurt to aap bhi bohot thi na. Ha apne As ko jail bhijwaya pr galti to unki hi thi. Hum maaf karna chahte hai apko. Apke sath puri zindagi bitana chahte hai. Pr hum nhi chahte ki humari wajah se apki life kharab ho. Humne apko itna dukh diya hai Karu. Kis muh se kahe ki hume apna lijiye. App better deserve krti hai Karu. Uparse hume apko dekhke, Anubhav ke saare paap yaad ate hai. Hum chance nhi lena chahte hai aab. Sorry karu. Ayiye, aaj hum apko sulate hai jaise ap itne din hume sulati thi.

Saying so, Hm lifts Ks and puts her on the bed. While doing so, Ks's black top shows bit of her shoulder, which clearly shows bloody bandage, which makes Hm gasp loudly.

Hm: Inko khudka khayal nhi rakhne ata kya. Tab to ye baachi thi, pr aab toh ye thik ho gayi hai na, phir bhi aise.

Hm changes Ks bandage and Ks sleeps through all of this.

Hm: Humari wajah se neend bhi puri nhi hoti hogi na apki. Sorry Karu.
