Coffee Shop Romance (HyunChan)

Hyunjin POV

It's just another day at the Cafe Stay. Today is a pretty cloudy Wednesday morning; therefore, there aren't too many customers, but that can change just in a second. I served the last order, then headed back to the bar area to wash some dirty cups. I've been working here for two months now, and I like this place so much. The workload is a lot, but all my colleagues are great. It's my first time to work in such a good and supportive environment. The guys here are all nice and fun, and we all work as a team to serve our guests well. I come here happily every day, even if it's often tiring and stressful.

Today is a bit of a special day; according to my current manager, Minho, our real manager has just come back from his vacation from Australia. Apparently he's our actual manager, and Minho was just responsible for such tasks while he was gone. All I know is his name is BangChan; my colleagues didn't really say anything else. I'm excited to get to know him; he must be a fun guy just like the rest of us here.

All of a sudden, it got busy. Me and the other two servers—Seungmin and Jeongin—quickly seated multiple guests, took their orders, and gave them to either our baristas—Jisung and Felix—or to the kitchen to our chefs. While Seungmin and Jeongin were serving the drinks, I was removing empty plates and cups from the tables. As I finished tidying up everything, I saw another customer entering. I quickly rushed over to welcome him.

" Hi, are you looking for a table or is it for takeout? " I asked. I just realized how handsome this man is. He's a bit shorter than I, yet his face looks quite serious and looks a bit older than me. He's well dressed, wearing a white shirt that wasn't fully buttoned with a black jacket. He looked elegant but casual at the same time. I couldn't help but to stare, he's surely a customer I would remember if I saw him again.
"No, I'm looking for Minho. By the way, who are you and what are you doing in my cafe? "
"Oh, you must be Bang Chan! Nice to meet you. My name is Hwang Hyunjin. " I bowed as I realized he is my manager. I feel so embarrassed; how could I not guess? I hope he didn't notice me looking too much.
" Great, so where's Minho? Whatever I'll find him myself. " As he said, he was already upstairs, as that's where Minho probably is.

This wasn't exactly how I imagined our first meeting. He seemed almost irritated to see me, and apparently he didn't even know someone new was hired. Hopefully he's just tired because of the flight. So far I've been enjoying the team here so much; I don't want it to be ruined.
