*Chapter 1: Morning Solace*

The persistence of my alarm kept going, piercing through my eardrums like a relentless cry for attention. I was half awake, trying my best to return to the pretty lady in my dreams, but to no avail. Her captivating smile and her beauty lingered in my mind, making it hard to shake off the allure of slumber. Finally, I stood up, dragging my exhausted body all the way to the bathroom.

As I stepped into the bathroom, the fluorescent light above flickered to life, illuminating the stark white tiles and the empty space where a mirror should have been.
"I really want one," I said to myself.
Admitting the reason I thought of a mirror. It wasn't just about vanity; it was about starting the day with a reminder of my own presence.

My fingers ran through my tangled hair as the sound of the shower created a soothing melody. I was lost in thought, my hands roaming my body, tracing the curves and contours. It was a gentle, intimate touch, a self-indulgent gesture that brought a fleeting sense of comfort. I knew I was running late for work, but I was willing to treat myself right. It had been weeks since I'd been with a man, and this solitary pleasure was my solace.

As I stood there, I couldn't help but think about the pretty lady in my dreams – her white, shiny hair, her curves, her lips. It all sent shivers down my spine, a mix of jealousy and arousal. The fantasy lingered, refusing to dissipate even as I turned off the shower and began to dress.

I arrived at the office, knowing I'd be late,as I settled at my desk, I couldn't help but wonder why my team leader Go-hey shin would be quiet about my lateness.

It was a boring, tiring day at work. I spent hours creating an AD document that would be presented to the team leader, only for him to tell me to redo it all over again. "I get it, Go-hey shin," I said, frustration simmering beneath the surface. "You want a fight; I'll give you one."

"Oh, really? Looks who's talking," a voice said, breaking into my confrontation with the team leader. I recognized Yoo Woo's voice, and my heart skipped a beat.

Shuddering, I signaled him to keep his voice down, but he just grinned mischievously. His eyes sparkled with amusement, and I rushed out of my desk, intent on dragging him away so he wouldn't say anything else. I wasn't sure how long he'd been behind me or how much he'd heard.

In the process, I tripped and almost landed on the ground. Joo Woo was just a foot away, quickly catching me.
"Whoa there, enthusiastic one, be careful. What will I do if you get broken?"
he said,
his words dripping with amusement.

I wished I'd fallen face-flat.
"You... Put me down," I said, trying to sound stern despite the flutter in my chest.

"But I don't want to," Joo Woo replied, pulling me closer. I felt his gaze on my lips.

Feeling ashamed, I stepped away from him hurriedly. As I returned to my desk, I caught my team leader staring at me – actually, he was using laser-like intensity.
