"Ooooh, I'm really scared, man!" said Portia as she hugged Nikki.
"Sure thing, Portia," She said.
"I'm completely scared stiff, girls," Sadie has put her fingers together, "What if I'm gonna tell my mom about this?"
"You gotta tell her that the scary stories made people and each other full of surprises!" said Holly.
"Good! I'm gonna tell her!"
Later, Sadie has left Lisa and Holly's house and went on her way back to Blake Avenue. She felt happy and confident that she would tell Sue about the scary stories that scared her and her friends. She went towards Cloverdale Drive, where she saw many houses decorated for halloween. She saw some children running in their costumes and felt amazed that she would show up at the halloween party, smiling proudly. She went to Flat Shoals Avenue before arriving at Blake Avenue. Sue was about on her way to Skyhaven Road, intending to bring her daughter home, only to stop on her tracks and encountered her walking home before going with her.
"Mom! I was on my way home!" said Sadie.
At home, Sadie was sitting on a chair while Sue and Selma sat closer to her, "Mom, I was at Lisa and Holly's home listening to scary stories! First it was Maureen's porcelain boyfriend, second it was Portia's fake family, third it was Vivian and Verena in a motel and fourth it was Mallory in a haunted house!" She explained.
"Yeah! Portia P! I talked with her and she was like, 'Whassup, dawg?' Get it?" said Selma.
"Oh, Selma, please..." Sue facepalmed, "Sadie, listen, why are you talking about scary stories?"
"Why am I talking about scary stories? For the halloween party! I'm going as a skeleton! What do you think, mom? Am I going or what?" said Sadie.
In a moment of silence, the mother approached her, "Sadie, are you gonna leave me and hang out with that rag doll? Do you imagine if she talks to me?" She said when she imagined herself at home where Sadie had brought Holly to introduce herself to her mother.
"Hi, how are you? I'm Holly!" She introduced herself, "I think I'm going to....hate you."
"Wait, what?" Sadie went back to reality, "Mom, she is a rag doll with a striped dress and she's like 'You know my name! It's Holly!'. She's not going to hate you."
"Gosh, my anxiety level is going larger than ever!"
"Anxiety level? Mom, she is not bad and nor cruel!"
"Yeah, Sue! Listen to her!" said Selma.
"Selma, will you cut it out?! She is my daughter and that rag doll is giving her a bad impression!" Sue warned her before seeing that Sadie went to her bedroom, "Oh, boy..."
In her bedroom, Sadie changed from her everyday clothes to her pink nightgown and nightcap. She sighed with disappointment that her mother still did not believe that Holly is real, "Why my mom overthinks too much? Why she doesn't believe that Holly is a real girl and not a rag doll? Holly understands me when we first met, even Lisa and Portia. And the other girls understands me as well, even my aunt Selma. Why my mom worries too much?" She thought to herself as she went to bed, turned off the lights and fell asleep.
Getting herself ready for sleep, Sue has put her nightshirt and placed her glasses on her desk as she lied down on her bed, "Why my daughter is doing this? Why she still hangs out with that sentient rag doll? Why those scary stories made her scared? What if...No, I mean, what if she hates me for my anxiety?" She thought to herself as well as she looked into the ceiling, with her eyes blinking.
The following morning, Lisa, Holly and the girls are waiting for Sadie to show up. They waited for her after getting dressed as usual and saw the countdown to the halloween party coming to start in october 31. They sighed before talking to each other about the upcoming party, "We're coming to october 31, girls. We're down to two scary stories," said Holly.
"Yeah, dawg, but, how long Sadie is goin' to show up?" Portia crossed her arms.
"Her mother is the one preventing her from hanging out with talking dolls!" said Nikki.
"Girls, what if someone pursued me?" Bailey asked before Sue appeared on her car, with Sadie next to her, "Hey! There she is!"
"Allright, Sadie, make sure you don't talk to strangers and never talk to that rag doll, understand?" said Sue.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're trying to push me away from her," Sadie left the car and watched her mother driving away.
"Sadie! You came just in time, girl!" said Holly as she dragged the ginger-haired girl to her female friends, "We're all in two scary stories left before the best day! C'mon! Let's get inside!"
The girls went inside where all the students are having their normal day before the party. Along the way, Lisa, Holly and Sadie went into Principal Kendra's office, with a dangerous warning on the door saying 'Enter at your own risk!'. Confused, the three girls went inside the office, where everything was decorated for halloween.
"Decorate the office, huh. That was her idea, Lisa?" said Holly.
"Not really, Hol. But, I wonder if she has something to scare us," said Lisa before a person in a fly costume appeared and gave her and the girls a scare, "AGH!"
"A fly!" Holly felt terrified.
"The flies are part of the party?" said Sadie.
"Girls, it's me!" said the person in the fly costume, before unmasking to reveal Principal Kendra wearing the costume, "Your school principal!"
"Oh, Principal Wyman!"
"What are you doing dressed as a fly?"
"To surprise anyone who came to the party. And if one person appears without a costume for halloween, I'll give them a scare to go away!" Principal Kendra told them.
"Wow! It's good to hear! We've saw that sign on the door saying 'Enter at your own risk', so I gotta go to the class," said Holly as she left the office with Lisa and Sadie.
