Moments later, Lisa and Holly gave Mr. and Mrs. Christman a goodbye and watched them driving away for a walk at night. They confidently nodded at each other as they would make sure that Pat and Jody will stay out of trouble and many threats. The two girls began spending time with the children, nurturing a friendship between them. They began playing hide and seek together and began seeing each other hidden in many places. And then, at 8:18 p.m, Pat and Jody are sleeping peacefully in their beds while Lisa and Holly watched them, lovingly. The two girls went to the living room and began watching music videos on the family television. They watched the music videos focusing on pop singers and were mesmerized by their stardom.
"Look at those singers, Holly. We got the parents for a walk and everything will be totally fine until they get home," said Lisa.
"That's good, Lisa! We'll make sure that the children will stay alive and healthy!" stated Holly as she watched the music video. However, she began hearing something on her pocket and pulled out her phone, where she saw an anonymous call, "Strange, I thought that Mrs. Lawrence was calling us," She said as she answered the phone, "Hellooo?"
"Hello," said the unknown person, who is also a middle-aged man.
"Holly, who is that?" Lisa asked.
"You must be the babysitter that the Christmans told you about," said the unknown person as he yawned, "How is your hair looking?"
"My hair is looking fine, mister. How do you know?" said Holly.
"There must be something wrong with the children. Have you ever checked on them?" The unknown person continued while the rag doll and her friend looked disturbed, "Have you ever checked the children?"
"Gee, Holly, did you let some strange person to ask a silly question?"
The two girls went upstairs and opened the bedroom door where Pat and Jody are asleep. Realizing that the two children are safe, they went back to the living room, "The kids are fine, Lisa. That man have no idea what is he was talking about!" She said as she sat on the couch with her friend. When they kept watching the music video, the two girls began listening to music coming from the television and nodded their heads at the sound of the beat. And then, the phone began ringing again, prompting Holly to pick it up, "That man again, what am I going to say?" She said before hearing a thumping sound, surprising her, "Gah!"
"Holly, answer the phone!" Lisa told her.
"Okay, okay!" The rag doll answered the phone, "Uh, hello?"
"Striped girl, looks like the children are jumping on the bed," The unknown person told her.
Feeling shocked, the two girls began to daydream about Pat and Jody jumping on the bed before being launched to outer space. With their eyes blinking, the two girls glanced at each other with worry, "What's happening to Pat and Jody?!" They asked with horror.
"You go ahead! I'll stay here!"
"No, no! You stay and I'll go ahead!"
The two girls bumped at each other in an attempt to check on the children. Without other choice, Lisa ran upstairs and opened the bedroom door again, where she realized that Pat and Jody are still sleeping, "Ugh...Did that man lost his mind?" She crossed her arms as she realized that the children are still unharmed before closing the door.
"Lisa! Come down here!" Holly shouted from the living room, prompting Lisa to return to the living room, "That man is scaring us with those calls!"
"Gimme that!" The brunette snatched the phone from her before gesturing her friend to go upstairs, "Okay, mister! You crossed the line! You better stop doing those calls and show yourself!"
"It doesn't matter! I'm a fan of your favorite rag doll!" The unknown person replied.
"We must be dreaming!" Holly said to herself as she opened the bedroom door where she saw Pat and Jody still on the bed, "Not a dream! I saw them!" She said before closing the door and began hearing the sound of a maniacal laughter coming from the bedroom, "What the heck?!" She felt frightened as she opened the door once again and began closing and opening repeatedly, "This is insane!" She said before going downstairs and returned to the living room where Lisa was carrying the phone, "Do you know where he is?"
"I don't know, Holly! Talk to him!" Lisa passed the phone to her.
"Listen, the children are perfectly fine! There's nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with them!" Holly told the unknown person.
"Oh, yeah? What if you saw me as the one calling you?" The unknown person asked as he appeared mysteriously from outside the window. The unknown person's name was Curt Flanagan.
"Uh-oh!" The girls were shocked at the man's presence outside.
Later on, the two girls called the police and explained the situation to the policemen, "There was an individual trying to scare me and Lisa. We were watching the children and it doesn't look like a prank call, or a-a joke or something!" Holly stated.
"Where did you saw that man?" said the first policeman.
"Right there!" Holly pointed to the window where she saw Curt earlier, only to realize that he is gone, "Huh? Where is he?"
"I'm right here, silly talking rag doll!" Curt turned on the lights, revealing himself to be the unknown person all along and carrying a sack with Pat and Jody inside, "I'm taking those two with me!"
"No!" The two girls were terrified.
"Yes, I will!" Curt told them as he began to run away with the two children hostage. He opened the door and prepared to go outside while Lisa and Holly are stretching a rope across the door sill, only for Curt to lose his balance and drop the children into the air. Luckily, the two girls grabbed them before they would hit the ground.
"Pat! Jody! You two okay?" Holly tied the sack where Pat and Jody are inside and hugged them.
"Thank goodness you two are fine!" Lisa hugged them as well.
"Ugh....I lost my balance because of a duo of two girls," The man said weakly.
"And next time, you know my name! It's Holly!"
Back to reality, at the Lawrence family residence, the girls were looking terrified after hearing it, "And that's the end of the story!" said Holly.
"Girl, that story is so scary! Why that stranger called you?" said Sadie.
