⋆ ★Screams of terror fill the girl's bedroom causing Ginny to nearly jump out of her bed. Reaching over to turn the lamp on and knocking it to the side in the process, she blinks blearily at an extremely pale-looking Celine.
"Y'alright?" she groans, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
Celine's intense shaking rattles the springs of the bed frame and goosebumps travel over her skin. Her eyes are hollow and blank as she holds herself, reeling from the nightmare she'd just been in. Cedric had been falling, she was trying so hard to catch him, but she could only stare as he got swallowed up by an empty abyss. Then, somehow, she was in his coffin suffocating with a mouthful of dirt. None of it made any sense; Cedric never fell to his death and the coffin bit was just... weird.
"Uh..." Ginny's voice breaks her out of her trance, "Celine?"
"Sorry, yeah... Uhm, sorry-" She mutters, trying desperately to forget about the nightmare.
Ginny stares for a few seconds longer, but then decides it's too early to be awake and flops back down into her pile of covers.
Celine reaches from the other bed to turn the lamp off. The early morning sunrise peaks through the linen curtains, casting a faint glow about the room. Despite the warm light, the floor is ice cold when she steps out of bed. Creeping along the floorboards quietly to not disturb Ginny any more than she already has, Celine finds a pair of wool socks from her trunk and slips them on.
This house always has such a cold atmosphere about it- like there's a ward against any kind of joy and happiness. Not that she's been feeling up for any of that anyhow, but still... What use is therapy when she's stuck in a place like this?
Moving silently out the door to her and Ginny's room, she makes her way downstairs to the kitchen.
Back at home, her real home, Celine's room is up all the way in the attic. Her mum and dad had transfigured it into a loft after she turned 12 to give her "her own space" since she was "becoming a woman". It was embarrassing at first, but she grew to like having the entire attic to herself. She'd painted the walls and slanted ceiling all in a light sage green, which looked fantastic with the dark oak beams. Her room was full of pictures and memories too- of her and her brother, her friends at Hogwarts (Susan Bones, Parvati Patil, and occasionally Blaise Zabini when he isn't around Malfoy), and just all the things she loves.
