Veldanava, the god of all universes and creation, realized many human thoughts and minds after the loss of many lives by an attack of Ivarage on the mortal realm. That included his best friend, Satoru Mikami's life too.
Struck by such great loss, th...
Traveling through the narrow streets, Veldanava slowly took his time walking past the old, wasted buildings. Observing the miserable refugees lying on the ground doing nothing or begging for food, he felt saddened but kept moving forward.
The same tragic view entered his eyes countless times for the duration of his passing through streets and turns, to his dismay. Expecting to see at least some difference, he was eventually met with none.
This town is a cluster of despair. That was the conclusion he came out with as he passed through beggars and the poor.
This wasn't what he initially expected when he arrived, thinking it would just be another normal town or village. But it betrayed his expectations by revealing itself as nothing but a gathering of wanderers and refugees who lost their homes due to something.
He tried asking a few of them the reason they were there, but they either ignored him outright or for whatever strange reasons, cursed at him while acting like crazed beasts despite how tired they were from everything.
Eventually, even the god gave up on asking.
All he saw in this place reminded him of his old world which he left temporarily not long ago, not because it was the same, but because of how different it is than this horrendous sight.
By the effort of his friends, underlings, and himself, such sights are extremely rare to find, if not impossible to find among all the nations. It doesn't imply that everyone's rich and millionaires, but at least everyone could afford to live in a house and won't starve to death.
This sight gave him that impression of such a contrast to a near-true utopia back in his world.
It's not like he's the one giving the most contributions for that to happen. As a god, he decided to not directly control humanity, not to rule them, but to guide and direct them to the righteous future.
As a result, he seldom showed himself and intervened in their affairs as long as it was only between mortals and did not affect his friends.
The more this town disappoints him, the more he thinks of and realizes again the greatness of his fallen friend, to be able to almost fulfill the dreams of prosperity and peace in the entire world.
'Heh, he truly is unmatched.'
While Veldanava was busy having his nostalgic moments in his head, his carelessness caused him to bump into a pair of passersby in an alleyway.
"Ah, my apologies. I wasn't paying attention to the path and troubled you two."
The god apologized for his lack of awareness while helping the two people he bumped into to stand back up from the rocky ground.
The two seem to be teens, pretty young. One of them was a girl with red hair and a ponytail, yellow eyes, and wore a white uniform with some dust and dirt on it, but still clean and nice in general.
