3rd POV:

"How long has it been? I didn't expect the traveling to that Pharaoh's kingdom would take this long."

Gilgamesh asked, laying on Veldanava's dragon form back as she let out a lazy yawn while munching on grapes.

"Trust me, his presence signature is easily detected, second to only the Lion King. It would be impossible to get lost, just takes a longer while to arrive."

The King and god chatted, and this had been going on for the past hours while they filed across the skies, without reaching their destinations for some time.

What entered their eyesight for the entirety of the trip were nothing but endless, barren sands with no buildings, relics, or even sights of the few batches of random wanderers.

Still, this doesn't mean they have nothing to do for the duration of their flight.

These moments come when wild creatures that have no idea of their true power decide to ambush them for a sweet meal.

"Oh, look."

Gilgamesh said, pointing at the desert below as the sands began flowing and swirling around, followed by the emergence of a gigantic sandworm busting through the surface.

"Maybe me flying in such a low attitude due to how empty the land has given others some false information."

The god laughed at himself, beginning to charge up a powerful energy beam in his mouth as he began speeding up and heading straight for the creature.

"Hold on tight!"

After he reminded Gilgamesh, he released and shot out an azure beam directly into its wide mouth, causing it to let out an agonizing screech before being incinerated to ashes from within.

Continuing with the fierce release of the remaining energy, he raised up his head and redirected the beam upwards to the skies, creating something similar to a pillar of light with the attack that upon complete release, slowly dispersed and diminished itself among the endless seas of clouds, clearing it all in an instant.

"Phew."

Veldanava huffed, rubbing his jaws with his dragon claws while white smoke still leaked from within his throat.

"You changed the weather." The blonde commented. "Over-dramatic?"

"Would you choose to let them fade in the skies, or shoot it down into the crust and have some nasty aftermath?"

"There is always the forward option."

"I wouldn't want to accidentally obliterate the things in my path."

"Fair enough."

As the two chattered, both of them suddenly felt something as they immediately looked around simultaneously for the source of their odd senses.

They aren't alone, it seems.

"Someone was here seconds ago..." Gilgamesh said, growing slightly more cautious.

"Maybe we can expect something later. I mean, is there anything we would need to fear?"

'On second thought, maybe he's right.' Thought the king, now letting go of her usual awareness and deciding to sit back and wait for what happens next.

"Maybe that's the Pharaoh's scouts or border guards."

Flapping his wings as they landed on the sand, Veldanava shook his head and spitted out several blue glowing orbs on the ground. These orbs then proceeded to levitate and became invisible.

"What was that?"

"I just wanted to test out something." The god said, now deciding to travel on foot instead of in his current form.

"Let's use our legs when we are already quite close to his kingdom."
