Angel in Disguise

Chapter 9

At the cinema

Minho and Jisung arrived at the cinema. They walked towards the ticket counter to collect their tickets and buy some popcorn while waiting for the cashier to give them their tickets. They decided to watch the new horror movie, "Bagman".

"Hannie, do you like horror movies," enquired Minho.

"Not really but I think I can manage. I am not a fan of it though," replied Jisung. He is going to admit that he hates horror movie but he didn't want to waste Minho's effort and reassure him.

"Okie."

Minho's POV

Our seat was in the middle lane. I decided to choose the middle lane because Jisung wasn't really a fan of horror movies and if I chose the back lane, it would not be really convenient for us to move along the stairs. It is pitch black here. I figured that it wasn't a really good idea to be choosing a horror movie but it will be enjoyable.

The movie started and the introduction was very terrifying. I am not the type to be scared of horror movies but this is really a thrilling movie. The movie rolled and I could sense Jisung getting more agitated. He started coming closer to me and all the times each jump scare came he would jump up and hold onto me for dear life. He apologized each time after grabbing me by the arm which was utterly unnecessary.

"How was it?" I asked. He was still shivering with sweat across his forehead. He smiled shakingly, "G..good!" 

I couldn't help but laugh at his face. He pouted and shoved me at the side. "Stop it," he exclaimed. 

"Sorry, but clearly I wouldn't let you watch any horror movies ever again. Let's do this. I will buy you something in order to compensate. How does that sound?" I asked. His face lightened immediately. "Can we buy a plushie?" he said. I will be stating facts here. He sounds like a child who was getting coaxed because I had caused something upsetting and unpleasant.

We went to the plushie shop and he picked out a quokka plushie. It looked like him so much. "Do you realize that it looks like you?" I asked him.

"Really. My brother calls me a squirrel although I look like a quokka more. I am just similar to a squirrel because of my eating habits. I like to store food in my mouth, hehe," he giggled. I am internally squealing. I could hear it for days without doing anything else. 

"Let's go and eat dinner or do you want to go to a cafe nearby?" 

"Cafe please."

Jisung's POV

We arrived at a cat cafe. I can tell that he is a fan of cats. Just look at how he deals with each and every cat. He is an expert. "You can go and order while I am playing with the cats Jisung. I will pay later," he told me.

I ordered latte and a cheesecake. I don't know what he prefers so I just ordered the same as me but with an ice americano in the place of latte. We enjoyed our time out and we got to know each other more. He likes black color (I figured) and cats. He is older than me by two years and his birthday is on 25, October. 

I was eating until he got up and kneeled down beside me completely out of the blue. He took out a bouquet of flowers. Where did he even get that from?! I am so confused.

Minho's POV

I think it is the perfect time to confess. I could see him look at me confusingly while I kneeled down in front of him. He seems shocked when I took out the bouquet of flowers.

"Jisung I have to tell you something. I like you for like two years now. Will you take the honor of being my boyfriend? It's okay if you don't like me back. We can stay friends after that right?" I looked at him hopefully.

He seemed to be pondering over my question because he froze as soon as I asked him that. "Okay," he answered. OMG. My dream came true!!! I pulled him into a hug and jumped around.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" 

"Aiyahh, Minho put me down," he yelled while chuckling.

"Sorry, I was just too excited," I replied. "Do you want our friends to know?"

"Sure why not? Let's tell them on Monday."

I agreed with him and dropped him off at his dorm. This is literally the best day of my life.
