Angel in Disguise

Chapter 23

Exams are coming up at Hyunjin's school. He doesn't even have time to talk to his friends as he was studying his head off for the finals. Of course they meet at school but he's been complaining to Seungmin because he couldn't talk with Minho properly after their first date.

Seungmin has been dealing with his nagging while trying to study too. Hyunjin's going to admit that he felt pity for Seungmin but he couldn't help it. He had to deal with it too when Seungmin started dating Bang Chan. Consider it balanced.

Hyunjin's POV:

I haven't had the chance to talk to Minho face to face these days. Everybody is busy. Finals are coming up while there are also a lot of fairs. Preparing while studying at the same time is not easy. 

Our classmates always have to go out of class to attend to their duties, which in turn miss the lessons. Sometimes all I want to do is just chill and do nothing, if you understand. Being a student is so hard but we don't talk about that. Everyone has to face it somehow.

"Hyunjin!!"

I turned as I heard my voice. It was Minho. "Yes?"

"Oh, here! I want to give you this. You have been very busy working for the STEAM fair and I didn't manage to give you it," he exclaimed as he pulled out two matching rings. "Take this."

He handed me the moon ring. I was shocked. "Jisung told me that you like rings especially if it's matching with somebody, so I thought we could match?," Minho said while scratching his head.

"Wow! I love it! Thank you very much!" I exclaimed as I hugged him. Everything faded away until a cough brought us back to reality. "Well, lovebirds! The bell has already rung. Why are you still standing there and not coming into the classroom?" Changbin exclaimed while Jeongin giggled beside him. 

Jeongin and Changbin has been going strong. Seungmin and Bangchan being the parents of the group sure. For Felix and Jisung, it is more of a push and pull. Felix is very serious about lessons unlike Jisung who is more easygoing. But I hope they see each other. 

"Sorry Binnie! We got carried away," I said and went into the classroom leaving a blushing Minho and smirking Changbin behind. Jeongin followed me and asked, "Hyung! Are you two dating now?"

"Umm... Talking stage," I replied.

"You guys are so lame. Just date already!" Jeongin yelled.

"Shh.. The teacher is coming," I shut him off and took out my books to start studying. I have no time to waste. After this period, I have to go up to our Confuscius Hall to arrange for the fair. We are designing a 3D cafe which has not been finished. It is going great though.

After Snack Break~~

After snack break, I headed towards the class after tiring hours of work upstairs in the hall. The air condition was not working. Such a pity.

I opened my locker tiredly and out sprang a letter with my favorite drink and roses in the middle of my locker. What the hell! I looked around just to see Minho looking back at me. He smiled at me sheepishly. So this must be his doing. I opened up the letter.

Hi Hyunjin..

I got this for you from the school cafeteria. I mostly see you drinking this lemon honey tea so I hope you enjoy it. The hall's air condition is not working I heard. Have a cool down!

Why is he so sweet? I looked back at him and mouthed thank you. Even if the exams are stressful, having a person who cares about you is worth it. (Even if he is too annoying most of the times.)
