Spring, a death trap

81 34 21

A sugary delight with seductive scents.
Sweet as chocolates; bitterness subdued.
What is spring but a death that lures?

Hands of a maiden drenched in yellow,
Face prettier than cherry blossoms.
Yet her heart so bleak, gloomy paracosm.

A greenery that makes one weep
For the rent for the view is due.
Yet the heartless spring ornates intelf in dews.

It mocks our misery and dances away;
Ignorant and rich, dressed to the nines.
It stalks us in our room; it enters its vines.

It brings roses full of thorns; so sharp.
We all bleed to death before we could
present it to lovers that live far into woods.

Spring so positive, Spring too positive;
Makes us aim for the gleaming stars.
Wrists cuffed by freedom, we become stars.

A sugary delight with seductive scents.
Sweet as chocolates; bitterness subdued.
What is spring but a death that lures?
