Kabir Pov
I woke up to the warm sunlight peeking through my curtains, feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. My mind began racing with thoughts of Aashvi and the surprise I had in store for her. Her confession at the beach still echoed in my mind, filling my heart with joy.
I tossed off the covers and got out of bed, stretching my arms. First things first, I needed to get ready. I headed to the bathroom and turned on the shower. The warm water invigorated me, washing away any lingering sleepiness. I shaved, styled my hair, and sprayed on my favorite cologne.
As I dressed, my thoughts drifted to Aashvi. Her smile, her laughter, her eyes sparkling with love. My heart swelled with emotion. Today was the day I'd make her mine forever.
Downstairs, my mom already had breakfast ready.
"Good morning, beta!" she said, noticing my dressed-up appearance.
"Morning, Mom," I replied, trying to play it cool.
She smiled mischievously. "Oh, Mr. Handsome! Looking sharp today! Nervous, huh?"
I blushed, remembering our conversation last night. "Mom, stop teasing me."
She chuckled. "I just can't believe my baby boy is proposing today! Aashvi already confessed her love; now it's your turn."
Last night, I'd confided in her about my plans. She'd been over the moon, offering words of encouragement.
"I'm going to make it special," I said confidently.
My mom winked. "I have no doubt about that. You two are meant to be. Your father and I are thrilled to welcome Aashvi into our family."
I smiled, feeling grateful for her support.
Time to confirm the arrangements.
I dialed Vihaan's number.
"Hey, man," Vihaan answered.
"Hey," I replied. "Just checking if everything's set."
Vihaan chuckled. "Kabir, you're more nervous than a groom on his wedding day."
"Shut up," I laughed.
"Seriously, though, everything's ready," Vihaan said. "The reservations, the flowers, the works."
"Thanks, Vihaan. I owe you one."
"No need to thank me, buddy," Vihaan teased. "Just don't mess it up."
I rolled my eyes. "I won't."
"And don't forget to breathe," Vihaan added.
I chuckled. "Got it."
We hung up, and I took a deep breath.
I grabbed my keys and headed out the door, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Aashvi's surprise awaited.
First, I stopped by the dress boutique to pick up the beautiful wine-colored dress I had selected for her. The owner, Mrs. Jain, handed me the garment bag with a warm smile. "She'll love it, Kabir. The color will complement her skin tone perfectly."
I envisioned Aashvi's radiant smile as she slipped into the dress, her eyes sparkling with delight.
Next, I swung by the candy shop to pick up the customized cotton candy bouquet I had ordered earlier. "Good morning, Kabir!" the shop owner said with a smile. "Your special order is ready."
I smiled back, taking the fluffy, colorful treat. "Thanks so much. It looks amazing."
The cotton candy bouquet was designed to resemble a floral arrangement, with pastel shades and delicate swirls. Aashvi's favorite flavors - strawberry, and vanilla - were woven throughout.
