(After Six years)Kabir pov
I woke up to the warmth of the sunrise peeking through my window, casting a golden glow across the room. Stretching my arms, I shook off the slumber, feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. The soft morning light illuminated the elegant furnishings of my bedroom, from the plush carpet to the intricately carved wooden dresser.
After a refreshing bath, I headed to my walk-in closet. I selected a tailored charcoal gray suit, crisp white shirt, and black leather shoes.
Next, I put on my favorite watch, a sleek black Rolex. The leather strap felt comfortable against my wrist.
As I finished dressing, my phone buzzed. Mom.
"Hey, Mom," I answered, hearing the concern in her voice.
"Beta, how are you?" she asked.
"I'm fine, Mom. Just busy with work."
"Take care of yourself, okay?"
"I will, Mom. Love you."
"Love you too, beta."
We chatted for a few more minutes before I wrapped up the call, feeling grateful for her unwavering support.
Downstairs, Jyoti had prepared breakfast - scrambled eggs, whole-grain toast, and a fresh juice.
Finishing breakfast, I headed out to the garage. Aryan, my trusted assistant, awaited me beside the sleek, black sedan. He was dressed impeccably in a navy blue suit, his eyes alert and focused.
"Good morning, sir," he said, opening the door.
"Morning, Aryan," I replied, settling into the plush leather seat.
Aryan's expression was professional, but I noticed a hint of a smile. He had been with me for three years, and I valued his discretion and expertise.
As we glided through the city streets, I reviewed the day's schedule on my tablet - meetings, conference calls, and strategic planning sessions. Aryan expertly navigated the traffic, his eyes darting between the road and the rearview mirror.
We arrived at Singhania Enterprises, the towering skyscraper gleaming in the morning light. I stepped out of the car, and Aryan followed closely, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
The receptionist smiled brightly. "Good morning, Sir."
I nodded, returning her greeting.
Aryan remained by my side as we stepped into the elevator.
As we ascended, I mentally prepared for the day ahead, thinking about the key decisions to be made and the challenges to overcome.
The elevator stopped on the top floor, and the doors opened with a soft whoosh. I stepped out into the sleek, modern office.
My executive assistant, Rachel, greeted me with a warm smile.
"Good morning, Sir ."
"Morning, Rachel. What's on my schedule today?" I asked.
"You have a meeting with the marketing team at 10 am, followed by a conference call with Tokyo at 2 pm. Also, you have a meeting with Rathore Enterprises at 4 pm to discuss the proposed merger," she replied.
I nodded, taking mental notes.
"Get me the files," I told Rachel.
She handed me a black folder with the necessary papers.
