Aashvi pov
I closed the door behind me, my heart still reeling from the magical evening with Kabir. His words echoed in my mind: "This day will be unforgettable forever."
As I drifted to my room, I couldn't help but relive every moment. The candlelit dinner, the soft music, the gentle kiss on my knuckles, and the tender cheek kiss.
I settled into bed, my thoughts swirling with emotions. Kabir had awakened feelings I never knew existed.
My phone buzzed.
Kabir's text flashed on the screen: "Dream of me toninght."
I smiled.
"Always," I replied.
The screen dimmed, but Kabir's words lingered.
I snuggled under the blankets, my heart full.
Tomorrow seemed far away.
But I knew Kabir would make every day unforgettable.
The darkness faded, replaced by visions of Kabir's smile.
I drifted off to sleep.
---
I woke up to the warmth of sunlight streaming through my window.
The memories of last night's magical evening with Kabir still lingered.
My phone buzzed.
"Good morning," Kabir's text read.
I smiled, feeling my heart skip a beat.
"Good morning," I replied.
I jumped out of bed and started getting ready.
After a refreshing shower, I dressed in comfortable jeans and a bright top.
I styled my hair and applied light makeup.
Next, I headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
I poured myself a bowl of cereal and made some toast.
I finished my breakfast, feeling energized and refreshed. Next, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. I locked my apartment and made my way downstairs.
As I stepped out of the building, the morning sunlight enveloped me. My eyes scanned the sidewalk, and then I saw him. Kabir stood beside his bike, his eyes locked onto mine.
"Hey," he said, flashing his charming smile. "Hey," I replied, my heart skipping a beat.
"For how long have you been waiting?" I asked. Kabir replied with a straight face, "Since 6:30." My eyebrows shot up.
"It's 8 now! Why didn't you call me?" I asked. Kabir burst out laughing. "I was joking! I just got here a few minutes ago," he said.
"You're ridiculous!" I teased. Kabir chuckled.
"By the way, did Sarah return from her aunt's house?" Kabir asked. "Nope, she's coming back today," I replied.
Kabir handed me a helmet. "Same drill as last time," he said with a wink.
I smiled. He helped me adjust the helmet, his fingers brushing against mine. A shiver ran down my spine.
"Come, my backpack--or should I say, my girlfriend-sit now," Kabir teased, patting the bike seat.
I rolled my eyes, laughing. I climbed on behind him, placing my hands on his shoulders.
"You can hold me," Kabir teased, "I'm your official boyfriend."
