The Kyoto students all whined as they saw the Tokyo students of the year 2005.

"C'mon! That's not even fair! You're putting us up against 3 special grades AND a skilled healer?! That's so unfair!" one of the whiny brats yelled.

Yaga simply chuckled, clearly not hiding his pride in his students. "Now now, [Name] isn't a special grade and Shoko is still an amateur. Satoru and Suguru don't have a good grip on their cursed techniques yet."

"Uh huh! And [Name] is a special grade one and she'll be promoted to full special grade not much later! Give us one of them, let's switch!", a girl named Mira exclaimed. She was a short third year, two years older than the Tokyo Quartet. She had short blonde hair and dazzling orange eyes that seemed to embody the Sun, along with a personality that heavily resembled current day Kugisaki Nobara.

"Nuh uh! It's Tokyo against Kyoto! We can't give you our precious students!" Satoru yelled back, wrapping an arm around Shoko and [Name] while his other hand pulled Suguru closer, as if to hold them together.

Now, this was around the time [Name] was still new to the concept of friends and affection so she blushed but only a little of the red of her cheeks was visible due to the bandages she wore. Kaburamaru, who hissed angrily at Satoru for almost crushing his body, looked at her with smug eyes and God forbid, if he had eyebrows, he sure as hell would be wiggling them right now.

Soon, Yaga calmed all the students down and the tournament began. Guess who won?

Tokyo, duh.

They were all sitting in the training grounds, the Tokyo students on the stairs calmly as the Kyoto ones lay on the grass field, panting and completely breathless.

Now, of course all the curses they exorcised were too much for Kyoto, with their highest grade being a Grade one, a quiet but kind boy named Yuri. In order to make them feel better, Satoru offered that they all go to a club, without the knowledge of Yaga.

Now, clubs weren't allowed for a group of teenagers, so, here they were, a group of ten, four Tokyo and six Kyoto students as the rest were too tired to join. The Kyoto group consisted of Mira, Yuri, Ayana (a bitch), Kenji (a sweet and funny boy), Tsutake (mid but thinks he's some sort of prodigy/cocky for no reason) and Yarika (a bold yet respectable girl).

As for the quartet, you already know them. The infamous strongest sorcerers alive, Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru, the prodigy healer, Ieiri Shoko and one of the two survivors of the fall of Iguro clan as well as the first jujutsu sorcerer in 300 years to have inherited a Serpent based cursed technique, Iguro [Name].

They were all in the biggest classroom of the school and had a party of their own. Thankfully, the assistant managers had taken care of the decor so they just had to change and join the party. [Name] wore the dress Shoko had forced her to (the one above).

The first hour they all danced and drank nonstop, with the exception of Yuri and [Name]. As Satoru was an unexpected lightweight, he was already quite wasted. Soon, they tired out and sat on the floor in a circle to play truth and dare.

The first dare came for Shoko, to bite poor Kenji's thumb until her turn came again. Then came a few rounds of juicy truths with a few secrets like Tsutake's crush on Mira, Suguru having peed his pants in fifth grade, Ayana's drug buying habit and whatnot.

And then came Satoru's turn and when he picked truth, the first question to be asked was "Who's the one person you'd willingly date in this room?"

"Either Suguru if he was a woman or [Name], I guess," he said.

Everyone 'ooh'ed as he smiled carelessly and leaned back with his weight supported by his hands on the ground.

"It's kind of gay that your first choice is Suguru," Shoko said as everyone laughed.

"Alright alright, my turn. [Name], truth or dare?" Satoru said.

"Dare," the girl in question replied as she leaned back too, stroking Kaburamaru who lay coiled up in her lap.

He smirked, "I dare you to pick truth."

"Fuck you."

"I mean, I wouldn't resist...." he shrugged.

"Just ask the question."

"What are you willing to do for love?"

She let out a breath, unconsciously thinking of a certain pink and green haired being at the slightest prospect of love. The thing was, she didn't know who that was.

"Kill and be killed," she answered.

Silence.

"Damn," Shoko broke the awkward silence in the room. "Kind of makes me wanna be [Name]'s lover." she laughed.

In the case of Satoru, however, he marvelled at the thought of being loved like that. Growing up, no one tolerated him much except for Suguru, Shoko and [Name]. Hell, even his own parents and his siblings hated him, solely because of envy. So, the idea of being so in love with someone and actually having them return the feeling to the point that they'd kill for you fascinated him.

He wanted that kind of love for himself.

And he hated himself for it.

Why?

It's simple.

Because he's the strongest.

2018:

Since when did he start feeling like this?

Since when did his stomach get overwhelmed with butterflies whenever she came close?

And most importantly, since when did he start loving her?

Love is the greatest curse of all, and he believed it wholeheartedly. No one could convince him otherwise. But, perhaps what made it a curse was that people longed for it. Particularly because the things we want most turn out to be the things that haunt us the most.

Besides, what was there to love about her? Her bitchiness? Her attitude? Her eyes, so gorgeously turquoise and orange, embodying a portrait of the Sun and the Moon shoved into one body and split down the middle? Or maybe the sparkle in them when she saw the things she liked? Perhaps the scars she found to be unattractive, but to him, they were trophies of how much she'd endured to be able to stand in the flesh in front of him today? And what about her soft skin, her pinkish lips that he would burn the world to see a smile on? Probably everything.

Dang, he was down bad.
