The day before the engagement, both the Oberois and the Singhanias were buzzing with excitement. The air was filled with joy and anticipation as the families prepared for the grand event. Designers had arrived with stunning dresses, ready to dress the bride and groom-to-be in their finest. The jewellers had delivered exquisite pieces, and the footwear, specially crafted for the occasion, was laid out. Both families were running on a high, knowing that this engagement would soon unite two powerful families.

Ranvijay Singhania and Diwankar Oberoi, the heads of the two empires, were at the venue, ensuring every detail of the preparations was perfect. They checked the decorations, discussed the arrangements, and made sure that the engagement would be flawless. The grand hall was almost ready, shimmering with elegant décor, and everyone could feel the excitement building up as the special day approached. For the Singhanias, it was an even bigger occasion, as it would be the first wedding in their family.

Meanwhile, Aarushi was in her room, sitting silently by the window, lost in her thoughts. Her heart felt heavy with uncertainty. The engagement was happening, and she knew that her life was about to change forever, but not in the way she had ever imagined. Just then, her younger brother, Hrehaan, walked in. Hrehaan, the famous singer, had been away for months, busy with concerts and recording his latest albums. But he had finally found time to come home and meet his sister.

With his usual playful charm, Hrehaan entered the room and exclaimed, "Di, ohoooo! So, your wedding is finally happening! Now, this big master bedroom of yours is going to be mine, right? Yessss!" He flashed a wide grin, clearly enjoying teasing her.

But when Hrehaan saw that Aarushi wasn't smiling, his expression immediately changed. His teasing tone disappeared, and he approached her with concern in his voice. "Di... what happened? You don't look happy. Are you okay?" He asked softly, noticing the tension in her eyes.

He sat down next to her and gently took her hand, his possessive side as a brother surfacing. "Tell me, Di. Are you upset? Is this wedding happening because of mom and dad? Are they forcing you into this?"

Hrehaan frowned, deeply concerned for his sister. "Di, listen to me. If you don't feel right about this, you need to speak up. Your happiness matters the most, and no one should push you into a life you don't want. We can figure this out, okay?"

Aarushi gave him a weak smile, touched by her brother's support. "I'll be fine, Hrehaan. I just need to figure things out. Thank you for being here."

Aarushi's heart was heavy with the weight of reality. Deep down, she knew this marriage was about business—just another deal in the world of power and prestige. She knew how much she and Dhir hated each other, and the thought of spending her life with him seemed like the perfect recipe for disaster. It felt as though this marriage was destined to ruin them both, but for the sake of her family's happiness, she kept these fears hidden.
