As they held each other tightly, Dilisha still wrapped in Rivaan's arms, he gently pulled back, holding her by the shoulders. His eyes were intense yet playful as he looked at her and asked, "Tell me, yes or no?"
Dilisha chuckled, feeling her nerves settle with his touch, and playfully ran her fingers through his hair. "Oh, my stupid boy," she said softly, "I love you."
Rivaan's face broke into a wide smile. Without waiting another second, he leaned down and kissed her. This time, the kiss was deep, filled with all the unspoken feelings they'd been holding back. It was passionate, intense, and neither of them wanted to let go. They were completely lost in each other, as if no one else existed, the world around them fading away.
But just then, a loud knock on the door jolted them back to reality. They immediately broke the kiss.
But just then, a loud knock on the door jolted them back to reality. They immediately broke apart, both of them scrambling to regain composure. Dilisha stood up straight, her cheeks flushed as she adjusted her clothes, looking like a schoolgirl caught sneaking out.
On the other side of the door, a voice called, "Rivaan Sir are you inside, everyone's leaving for the cocktail party! All the bachelors and young ones are heading there, so Rivaan sir, you might want to join us." The person on the other side moved away, their footsteps fading down the hall.
Dilisha remained frozen in place, eyes wide and heart racing. She looked like a statue, standing at attention as if her very soul had momentarily left her body. Rivaan, seeing her reaction, couldn't help but burst into laughter. He stepped closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Awwww, shorty," he teased, "shocked, huh?"
He cupped her face gently, giving her a slight shake to pull her out of her daze. "Rivaan!" she hissed, still flustered. "You scared me! I honestly thought someone saw us!"
He grinned, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, so you're worried someone might find out about our little... relationship?" he teased, drawing out the last word with a smirk.
Dilisha rolled her eyes, finally regaining her composure, and the two shared a knowing smile. Rivaan then kissed her forehead, his touch soft and comforting. "Let's meet at the party tonight," he whispered. With a final, lingering look, they left the room, each heading back to their respective families.
