Backstory:
Life has a funny way of working out. Especially in the case of Gaia stone,He was just 6 years old when his Parents disappeared afterwards he was taken into child services,after much research and calls he was taken in my distant relatives of his the Ketchum's specifically Delia Ketchum he never met ash father sense he was always away. But two grew up together practically like brothers he didn't know what to do until ash suggested he try to become a Pokemon master like him. So he agreed vowing to be the best like no one ever was so after much begging and pleading he was taught the basics by professor oak ash wasn't very interesting in trying learn from oak wanting to get field experience when he old enough.
((Okay I promise until actually finish a Pokemon series this is last one I make guys I promise. Anyway this premise based off Electro Pikachu "What if professor oak was prepared" and Oc insert character theirs a 3rd reference but I'll leave that up to fans to figure out but if you haven't seen cover then idk what to tell also the starters will be different as I base it somewhat on this video
