[It took us a couple of days to reach Pewter City after we left the Viridian Forest, and it was a good thing too. Our food supplies were almost running out, so we made it before we could start starving]
Ash:Hey Gaia, look over there.
[Gaia also looks ahead and smiled as he and Ash ran ahead to look at their destination pewter city].
Ash:Pewter City, here we are! [Ash exclaimed in relief when we reached a hill and saw the city]
Pikachu:Pikachu! [Pikachu cheered happily]
Misty:It's about time we made it [Misty nodded] I can't wait to take a nice hot shower.
Dune:Sand [Dune agreed with Gaia].
????:Pewter City is gray. The color of stone is. This town has always been famous for stone.
[We looked down the small hill and saw a man with a beard sitting on a rock. Half his head was covered by a red hat, so I didn't have to worry about looking at him in the eye]
Ash:Huh? What the? Who is this old guy.
Gaia:Ive never seen dude before either.But if I were to guess, this guy is obviously some salesman.
Flint:That's right, kid. The name's Flint. And your friend is sitting on one of my merchandises.
Ash:Oh sorry [said Ash as he stood up]
[The group then look at some of the "souvenirs" that Flint has]
Gaia:So let me get this straight. You sell rocks?
Flint:They're Pewter City souvenirs. Do you wanna buy some?
Ash:No thanks.
Gaia:We're not interested. But thanks anyway.
[Both Pikachu and Dune both sighed in exhaustion].
Flint:Well you're Pokémon sure look worn out. Why don't you follow me. I'll show you to the Pokémon Center.
Misty:I guess he's not so bad.
Ash:You got that right, Misty. I guess that goes to show you that looks can be deceiving.
Gaia:You said it.
Flint:By the way, that'll be a two dollar charge for resting on my rocks.
[This caused Ash, Pikachu , and Misty to fall over in disbelief at what Flint was demanding.].
Misty:He's kidding right? [She asked Green]
Green:I don't think so[He responded with a sweat drop].

[After Ash's wallet got a small hole because of the charge, Flint led us to the Pokémon Center. He said he was coming back an hour later, so we had lots of time to heal up our Pokémon and get some real food]
[Our Pokémon, including Misty's who were a Goldeen, Staryu, and Starmie, sat on the floor next to our booth while eating Pokémon fodder. Beedrill got a different treat of honey because his tiny mouth made him unable to eat any solid food]
[Ash was eating a traditional Johto lunch menu consisting of fish, miso soup, and rice while I had some hot stew with rice. Misty was eating an omrice which looked very delicious]
Misty:So have you decided which Pokémon you're going to use? [Misty asked as she sat opposite of me and Ash]
GaiaI'm going with Dune and Matt [I replied] Flora is half-flying, so she wouldn't do well.
Misty:Not a bad idea especially since Dune is a ground type which gives him an advantage against the rock-type Gym [Misty pointed out]
Gaia:I've been training him to make his claws extra strong so he can damage rocks. Plus he's learned some new moves
