"Medeis couldn't she have made this easier on me. Twelve books! Twelve! And she's gonna tell me she would help me if it was more." Ronwynn angrily says to herself, laying out each book. She observes each cover, mentally taking note of each one and starting a list of what order to read them in. "If I started with Desert Rose, then next I should look at this ice magic book next. Or should I look at the plant one?"

She holds up the two books and debates with herself. "If I read about getting water from the environment around me, then I should read about plants. But, if I wanna learn how to make weapons out of the water, I should read about ice." She sets down the ice magic book and looks within the plant one. Skimming the first chapter and the chapter titles, she hums to herself.

"So you can help me with growing the plants rather than using them to fight. I wouldn't need water for that but, would I be able to take the water from them?" she switches out the books and reads the same bit for the ice one. "You tell me how to use the ice in fighting. I guess you'll be up next since you go into detail about the fighting."

She sets the ice magic book down and adds the plant one back to the pile. She maneuvers the pile to her desk in the corner of the room. The books are then sorted into smaller piles by magic type. Ronwynn notices that despite Esmeray saying something about defense, there aren't any books on it from her. 'Maybe she went to get some more from the library before the meeting.'

Ronwynn shrugs and goes back to her table to get the ice book. She observes the silver cover and reads the title, 'Ice: Waters Most Beautiful and Dangerous Form'. Then, she grabs 'Desert Rose'. For once, she decides to listen to Esmeray and read the book in this small moment of free time. Ronwynn goes to her bed and gets comfortable to begin reading. She opens up 'Desert Rose' to where she left off and begins to read again.

A few hours pass when there's a knock on her door. Ronwynn places her bookmark into her book and gets up to go see if it's Esmeray. Opening the door, she is greeted with her expected guest.

"You ready to go kid?" Esmeray asks.

"I guess. Do I get to know what the meeting is about or are we still keeping secrets?"

"Medeis kid I swear. You'll find out in due time. I don't know if this meeting is about what I think it is about, but if it is, I wouldn't tell you."

"Sounds like you're trying to avoid my question."

Esmeray sighs, "Yes. To put it simply, I am still keeping secrets."

"See? Quick and simple answer." Ronwynn closes her door and gets to walking with Esmeray.

The pair walk throughout the quiet halls, passing different workers alike. They make small talk about the books and when more will be added to the pile. Ronwynn groans when Esmeray tells her there will be another one or two stacks for her to add. About five of them were as thick as her head.

Ronwynn sighs tiredly from the walk from her room to Emeaira's study. Esmeray laughs and teases her about it.

"Aw Ronnie. Did all that relaxing for the past week tire you out? Poor baby."

"Shut up old hag. I'm just not used to this walk. Besides, wasn't it you and Faenya who banned me from walking around the castle?

"Hm nope. I had no part in it. I was only your chaperone. I don't make medical decisions like that for you."

"Yeah right. I hate that this is the first walk that I get to go on after recovery instead of one in the gardens or from my room to your workroom. Those are much shorter distances."
