The Unexpected Twist (pt 2)

As we were basking in the joy of our new family, a sudden turn of events shattered our peaceful moment.

The President, aka Remi, suddenly appeared out of nowhere, a sinister grin spreading across his face.

"Ah, Sonic," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time."

Before I could react, he snatched Maxx from my arms, holding him tight.

"No!" I shouted, my heart racing with fear. "Give him back!"

Remi just laughed, his eyes gleaming with evil intent. "You'll never see your precious Maxx again, Sonic," he sneered. "He's coming with me."

Shadow and I were stunned, our minds racing with horror. We couldn't believe what was happening.

"You can't do this!" I shouted, my fists clenched with anger.

But Remi just smiled, his power and authority radiating from him. "Oh, but I can," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "And I will."

With that, he turned and disappeared, taking Maxx with him.

Shadow and I were left standing there, our hearts shattered, our world turned upside down.

We looked at each other, our eyes filled with determination. We knew what we had to do.

We had to get Maxx back.
