Shadow and Gideon were right behind me, their eyes scanning the area for any signs of trouble. We searched every corner, every desk, every file, but there was nothing.

Just as we were about to give up, I spotted a small piece of paper on the floor. I picked it up, my heart racing with excitement. It was a receipt from a small island resort, one that I had never heard of before.

"Guys, I think I found something," I said, my voice trembling with excitement.

Shadow and Gideon gathered around me, their eyes scanning the receipt. "This must be where Remi took Maxx," Shadow said, his voice filled with determination.

Gideon nodded, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "Let's get moving," he said. "We have to get to that island and rescue Maxx."

I nodded, my heart filled with hope. We were one step closer to finding Maxx, and I wasn't going to let anything stand in my way.

(nods, his determination growing) Alright, let's get moving! We've got a long way to go, and I can feel it in my bones that Maxx is waiting for us.

We rushed out of the office, our feet pounding the pavement as we made our way to the island resort. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the city as we sped towards our destination.

As we arrived at the resort, I could feel my heart racing with excitement. This was it, this was where I would finally be reunited with my son.

We snuck into the resort, avoiding the guards and security cameras as we made our way deeper into the complex. Finally, we came to a large villa, surrounded by a high wall and guarded by Remi's personal security team.

"This is it," I whispered, my eyes fixed on the villa. "This is where Remi is hiding Maxx."

Shadow and Gideon nodded, their eyes gleaming with determination. We knew we had to be careful, but we were ready to do whatever it took to get Maxx back.

I took a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest. This was it, this was the moment of truth.

"Let's do this," I said, my voice low and deadly.

We charged into action, taking down the guards and security team with ease. I kicked down the door to the villa, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of Maxx.

And then, I saw him. Remi was standing in the corner of the room, a smug smile on his face as he held Maxx in his arms.

"Ah, Sonic," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for you."

(takes a step forward, his eyes blazing with fury) You've gone too far, Remi. You've messed with the wrong hedgehog.

Remi just laughed, his eyes gleaming with malice. "You're too late, Sonic," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "I've already taken care of Maxx. He's mine now, and you'll never see him again."

My heart stopped. What did he mean? What had he done to Maxx?

I took another step forward, my fists clenched with anger. "What have you done?" I demanded, my voice low and deadly.

Remi just smiled, his eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure. "Let's just say, Maxx is no longer the same," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

I felt a cold dread creeping up my spine. What had Remi done to my son?

Suddenly, Shadow and Gideon were by my side, their eyes fixed on Remi with fury. "We're not going to let you get away with this, Remi," Shadow growled, his voice low and deadly.

Gideon nodded, his eyes blazing with anger. "You're going down, Remi," he said, his voice dripping with confidence.

I took a deep breath, my heart pounding with fury. It was time to put an end to this once and for all.

"Let's do this," I said, my voice low and deadly.

We charged into battle, our fists flying as we took on Remi and his security team. The fight was intense, with punches flying and kicks landing, but I knew I had to keep going. I had to save Maxx.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we emerged victorious. Remi was on the ground, defeated, and Maxx was safe in my arms.

But as I looked down at my son, I saw that something was wrong. His eyes were glazed over, his skin pale and clammy.

"Maxx, what's wrong?" I whispered, my heart racing with fear.

Maxx looked up at me, his eyes empty and hollow. "Daddy?" he whispered, his voice barely audible.

My heart stopped. What had Remi done to my son?
