The silence that followed Maxx's destruction was oppressive, a heavy weight that seemed to crush the very air out of the atmosphere. The clearing was left in ruins, the trees uprooted, the rocks shattered, and the ground torn apart.

Shadow and Gideon slowly stirred, their bodies battered and bruised. They looked around at the devastation, their eyes widening in shock.

"Maxx..." Shadow whispered, his voice trembling with fear. "What have you done?"

Maxx stood alone, his eyes fixed on the ground. He didn't seem to hear Shadow's words, didn't seem to care about the destruction he had caused.

Gideon slowly got to his feet, his eyes fixed on Maxx. "We have to stop him," he said, his voice firm. "We can't let him continue to destroy everything in his path."

Shadow nodded, his eyes flashing with determination. "We'll find a way to stop him," he said. "We'll find a way to bring him back to normal."

But as they approached Maxx, they realized that it wouldn't be easy. The boy was still surrounded by a halo of energy, and his eyes seemed to be glowing with an otherworldly power.

"Maxx, snap out of it!" Gideon shouted, his voice echoing through the clearing. "You're not a monster, Maxx. You're a kid, a friend. We need to get you back to normal."

Maxx's eyes slowly focused, and he looked up at Gideon. For a moment, there was a glimmer of recognition, a spark of humanity in his eyes.

And then, it was gone. The energy surged back up, and Maxx's eyes glowed with an intense power.

"I am not a kid," Maxx said, his voice low and menacing. "I am a god. And you are nothing but insects, crawling at my feet."

Gideon and Shadow exchanged a worried glance. They had never seen Maxx like this before, had never seen him so consumed by his own power.

"We have to stop him," Gideon whispered, his eyes fixed on Maxx. "We have to find a way to bring him back to normal, before it's too late."
