Chapter 4: Explanation

Author's note: I haven't thought about the AU, just about the Sans, so here's short explanation: The AU was glitching out, so Error tried to fix it. The Star Shits saw him there and thought he glitched the AU. They fought, with Error mainly dodging and the Stars destroying almost everything around. Ink stabbed Error, making the Star Shits think they won and leaving the AU a mess. The sans of that AU, aka Animal!Sans, saw what happened and tried to heal Error. He forgot this soon after healing Error, but Error had vague memories, which is also another reason Error helped you when you were in that abandoned AU.| Also, once names start appearing, I'll stop using the previous name and start using the new name. For example in the previous part, from "Creature" to "Flame." Reminder: Frost is you.
Future edit: I'm pretty sure that Error is due to meet Frost in the next chapter, but I don't feel like checking, so here's the picture, since the next one has the p| I ain't spoiling. Frost POV:

Frost. I liked the new name. Then I realized that I still had a web of cracks on top of my skull. Due to me being a very thoughtful and considerate person in my past life, my brain instinctively started contemplating different reasons for the cracks. Combined with knowledge about the Bad Sanses and the Star Sanses, I came up with the reason that because the cloak I had on looked like the color Dust would choose, the Star Sanses probably spotted me and thought that I was Dust since Sans had their hood up when we met. I decided to ask Flame to explain about that, and about some of my powers, as I knew mythical creatures should have powers.

Frost: "Hey Flame?"

Flame: "Yeah Frost?"

Frost: "Why is there a web of cracks on the top of my skull?"

Flame: "Well, your cloak covers a lot of your body, and it's the color of what Dust!Sans usually wears-"

I cut them off there, explaining that I knew about the AUs, having come from the 'creator AU,' and that they didn't need to explain everything, just to explain like I know everything about the AUs, which I do.

Frost: "I will probably forget most of the stuff I know from being human since F̸͇͚̅̽̽͝@̵̩͓̮̘̟̎ţ̵͍̈̑̕3̴̦̱͖̭̾͌̈́̂ mentioned that my mind would adapt to this body. I think that I will only be able to remember combat fighting, which creatures I can change into, and whatever I learned after I got reborn into Sans's body. Flame: "I see. Continuing, your cloak color is what Dust usually wears, and the hood blocks your face. You are just trying to get enough food to survive, and that includes any dust you find. You can hop around AUs with my help, which is one of the reasons why the Star Sanses think you're Dust. You've been doing this for almost 4 months, and a few weeks earlier, during a 'food trip,' which is what you call the trips to different AUs to get food, the Stars caught you stealing a loaf of bread. You told me to not let people see me, apart from the people you permit. Because I am connected to your soul, I can telepathically speak to you. I told you that the Stars were here, and that you needed to run, a few moments before the Stars noticed you. So you ran and ran, but you were tiny and the Stars were huge. Thanks to your small head start, you managed to get out of town and into the forest before the Stars catch up. You were in a bush, not aware a small part of your head stood out. The Stars noticed, and Dream lunged, using his staff to hit you in the head. I don't know how, most likely your survival instinct from having so many wild animals inside you, but you dodged the attack. You were, however, knocked to the ground pretty hard by Blue, which caused a small crack. Then came Ink, with a similar attack to Dream, except with his brush. You managed to back away, but you still got a few drops of paint on you. Ink used the acidic paint, so the cracks started to grow before I managed to teleport you to another AU. There, you landed in some water, washing off the paint."

Frost: *Okay, that explains most of it.* "So, what happened to my AU, because I wouldn't need to run around stealing food and sometimes even eating dust if my AU was fine."

Flame seemed hesitant to answer, and as the silence dragged out to 5 minutes, I felt myself complete the adaptation to my new body. I signaled to Flame, as I couldn't talk very well. I managed to get out a broken phrase: "M-magic... h-hurt"
