Author's note: After this chapter, I'm replacing all the Author notes with a simple AN, and SN for side notes, you can figure out why. My friend @Moonwolf_230 is helping me with images that I can't draw, most of them are pictures with other sanses. I'm already struggling to draw Frost without showing their legs, only their pants, mittens, and their huge cloak covering most of their body. I'll be adding a full picture of Frost, as well as info about them, but you're gonna have to wait, as I am sorta a perfectionist, which is making drawing extremely hard to finish. I also keep forgetting my key to how the dialogue is being said lol. Sorry for rambling, on with the story!
"Hello"- talking | (Hello)- muttering or whispering | "Hello"- yelling | "Hello"- unholy screeching *Hello*- thinking | =Hello= - Flame's telepathy | \Hello/- Frost's telepathy | Hello- emphasized
Farm POV:
"W-well, uhm, you s-see..."
I stared at the young skeleton who was fidgeting with her mittens but appearing to not want to take them off. "Go on, Frost. Take your time, don't worry." I said without any of my usual cowboyish tone. I heard them sigh, before seeming to brace themself for what they were about to tell me. "Farm, give me your hand." I blinked, not expecting them to sound so authoritative, as they seemed frightened, but now that I looked closely, they seemed to be completely relaxed, their amber eyelights that strangely had slitted pupils betraying no emotion. I looked closer and saw that the pupils in their eyelights were now round and circular, instead of the usual slits, showing nothing but pure void, shocking me down to the bone. "Farm, I said give me your hand." Shaking myself out of my trance, I extended my hand. "I will be doing something that is none of your business. I did something similar with Error, but I didn't need to put a magical character on, as he already saw him, (and he is a Fgod. I will do anything for any Fgod Error.)" said Frost, mumbling the last part as he took my hand and brought out a feather. I didn't quite hear what they mumbled, but decided not to ask.
~SN: Frost needs to transfer some of their magic to the person and write a special character with their feather pen to allow them to see Flame. The character looks like this: 玉. It's a Chinese character, pronounced Yù, and it means jade. The magic has to be a special portion of magic that resides in Frost. The magic is green, the same color as the feather's ink, and is this color since it's a rare magic color. This meant that Frost would have no problem identifying which part of magic to transfer when allowing people to see Flame in his semi-transparent form, the only problem being that it couldn't mix with other types of magic until it was in the other's body. Also, I'm calling it a ritual. Again, sorry for rambling and on with the story! It continues with Farm's POV.
The feather was weird, to say the least, no weirder than how Frost summoned it. I didn't feel any magic other than the feather, so they must have just materialized it out of thin air. The feather also appeared to be radiating a purple aura. It was confusing to comprehend, so I ignored it and focused on Frost who seemed to be in deep concentration, their pupils now gone from their sockets, empty eyelights staring at me, straight into my SOUL. I shivered. I suddenly felt magic being transferred over to me, and my gaze shot down toward my hand where a set of hands with extremely sharp distal phalanxes were gripping it. The hand belonged to Frost, and they seemed to have taken off their mittens while I was distracted by their creepy staring.
Frost POV:
Farm noticed. As a result of seeing my exposed hands, I dug the sharp tips of my fingers, which I will start calling 'claws' instead of 'sharp tips of my fingers,' into his hands a little, causing him to flinch. I was staring at him without my pupils in my amber eyelights so he wouldn't notice me gripping his hand and transferring magic over. He didn't notice the hands, but he did notice the magic, so I looked away and, with deep concentration, finished the magic transfer and grabbed ahold of my feather, which I had summoned for the ritual. It was floating around near me like it always did every time I summoned it, and wrote the first stroke of the character on the back of his hand. He winced, as the magic ink would burn for a few minutes after applying, but held it in as he watched, amazed at what I was doing. After a few moments, the ritual was complete, and I let him examine his hand as the character faded, and with it the burning. "What did you do?" I looked away, my pupils back in my eyelights, as I muttered something about it being part of the explanation. I wasn't too sure, as I get headaches every time I do the ritual. This was my first time, but not the first time for this body, as it seemed accustomed to the headaches, sending a bit of extra magic to my skull to help with sight. "What did you do?" The question was repeated, a little more firmly. As much as I would have loved to explain, I couldn't, the reason being that I had passed out.
Farm POV:
"What did you do?" echoed in my mind. It was the last thing that happened before Frost passed out. "Frost!" I rushed towards them, and as I did, I noticed a little light next to me. I was more worried about Frost, so I quickly got into a defensive stance, ready to strike out at whatever the light was. I looked at it, it seemed to be a purple flying fox with a frosty blue ring of fluff around its neck. Its eyes were a brilliant purple, and it had an orange mark in the shape of fire on its forehead that struck out on its deep purple fur. The thing that caught my attention though, was the fact that its ears and tail were black-tipped, just like Frost's ears. "Who are you? What are you?" I questioned the flying fox, while mentally jotting things down. It seemed to be worried but surprised at the same time, so I was a little curious about that. "You can see me???"
Another cliffhanger, hahahahahahaha! I didn't want to stretch it out, and you gotta get used to cliffhangers from now on since I found out it gets readers more interested in the next part and what's gonna happen.
