Chapter 11

I wake to my father's gentle stroking of my back with the hand that's around me. I smile as I snuggle into him as I didn't want to get up, but I knew that I needed to so I was just trying to delay it for a little bit, but then I feel his slight chuckle at knowing what I was trying to do, but that it wasn't going to work and so I let out a groaning moan that would rival a teenager not wanting to get out of bed to go to school

"Do I really need to get up dad?" And his responding sigh was all I needed to shift so that I was sitting up and I ask

"What time is it?"

"Enough time for you to have breakfast and then get ready as you need to go to a meeting with Vlad and Richard with me, Ange won't be there though as Vlad doesn't trust him around her as well as he wants her else where to get ready and be ready to help you, I told him that I could do so, but he explained that if I didn't want others to know about us just yet I had to stop monopolizing you" I look at him in enough time to see him shrug and roll his eyes, but I knew what he meant so I reply

"It's ok, there will be plenty of time to monopolize me." We both laugh at this before he tells me to go shower as he gets my morning outfit ready then he needs to go get ready himself. I pout as I wasn't quite ready to part with him just yet and this earns me a pointed look that makes me let out a sigh that he replies with

"We will be together soon enough so don't fret. Now go shower!" I nod my head and then get up and walk naked to the shower, not caring about my state of undress around him and it's liberating to know that in a short time being with him I was healed more than ever and this didn't scare me like I thought it would. Like I know that for others this wouldn't be possible, but I am glad that I am not like others and this is possible for me.

Maybe that was because I am part Vampire and they heal quite quickly, even mentally, I shrug to myself as it doesn't really matter. Once I was done in the shower, I was quick as I opted for just more of a rinse off then a full shower, I dry off and walk back into my room as I see Ramesses placing a simple outfit of jeans and a blue jumper and a t-shirt on the bed with my uggs. I noticed he had gotten dressed in something similar and I smiled as I know that I will think about that while I wasn't able to be with him today until tonight.

When he realized that I was standing there he turns to look at me and gives me a once over before sighing and saying

"Oh how I wish we didn't need to do stuff today as I would be wanting to hold you naked instead, but we don't have time for that now and we need to do this." I give him a soft smile and walk over to him where he helps me to dress and then we both leave the room to go get me breakfast and then I was going to be getting ready for being inducted into Vlad's line officially.

I was not looking forward to that honestly, like I am honored and I want it, but I wasn't looking forward to having to be in the same space as Richard again and having to basically say and act in a way that wasn't natural for me just so that Vampire society can be satisfied that I wasn't a 'danger'.

I feel my hand being squeezed and I smile up at Ramesses as I know he was trying to give me comfort while not being obvious about it. As soon as we were at the door to the dining room I can tell that Richard was thankfully not in there and it was indeed just Vlad and Ange so I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and squared my shoulders before Ramesses opens the door and we walk in taking our seats before Vlad asks

"Have a good evening?" I smile at him while Ramesses answers

"Yes we did, thank you. Is everything ready for today?" Vlad nods his head before replying

"It is. Just the meeting between us two, Richard and Sapphirine to go and we can do that after here before the girls go and get ready."

"Do I really need to be at that meeting?" I ask in a low whisper while looking down, suddenly feeling like I have lost my appetite and didn't really want to eat the food in front of me. I can feel that their answers were going to be that I had no choice and I let out a sigh and sit up to basically force myself to eat something, before Ramesses says
