Chapter 6

It took us just a little over 2 hours to get everything done, it would have taken less but a few more boxes of my stuff arrived and needed to be sorted. When all was done I really did feel like a shower as my back was really stinging, but didn't want to make a fuss over it as a shower would work fine, so while my Father left to go make sure everything was in place for my great grandsire and his wife's stay here I went to have a shower as hot water always helps ease the sting before it can turn into flashbacks or become worse in some other way.

I didn't want to tell my father as he would just worry and I know that when we have time he will look more into helping me, but the stinging is also from being healthier and more vampire than normal so I am noticing the sting of silver more. The bullet still lodged in my back isn't feeling too good either, but that was probably because I have done more standing and moving around then I was used to in a while.

All worth it though as I was more unpacked somewhere then I have ever been in all my life, because I had the storage even if I never knew about it while I was still with my father when I was a girl. Once in the bathroom in my room, I strip and turn to see my back all angry and looking red raw, almost how it looked not long after I got them, I sigh and then get the shower started and once it was to the perfect temperature I step in and as soon as the hot water hit my back I let out a hiss of pain that quickly turns into a moan as the warmth does what I knew it would.

I then just rinse off as I didn't want to use anything as that would just sting again and I didn't need to wash my hair again so I am finished quickly and then I step out and dry off carefully, although I couldn't dry my back so I just left it and wrapped myself as best as I could without covering my back to go into my closet for the first time and I almost lose my towel at the sight that greets me.

The room is long rather than wide. There are a set of windows that are high set in the wall to my left that I am sure would be sitting above the roof line of my bathroom, but it means that there is plenty of natural light during the day. Right now it is coming into night so I turn on the big delicate looking but ornate crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the room just to get a better look, not that I really needed to with my part vampire eyes, and see that with the main light there are also lights throughout the room in each alcove of where my clothes and shoes and other accessories go.

In the middle of the room is a wide daybed/ chaise lounge looking chair that is a soft cream color and it has complimentary colored cushions on it. This sat on a plush looking light cream coloured rug that sat on wood flooring that was in a zig zagging pattern, the color of the wood was more a natural tone so not light but not dark either. I want to say medium brown but it's a little too light in parts for that. But it fits in this room perfectly.

The walls were black painted wood paneling that looked so classy and elegant with little Victorian gothic accents around the room that gave it a feel of age as well as beauty, but with modern functionality as well. There were also a few indoor plants that had dark green leaves sitting on tables that looked to be made from gold or gold plated metal or might have once been side tables or small hallway tables in a Victorian upper class home that just fit.

I can see that there is a floor to ceiling mirror that was wide enough that two people could stand side by side and still have plenty of room to use it at the same time, it also looked like it was angled where it would help to reflect the natural light back into the room and this was right next to a black painted Queen Ann style vanity table, that looked suspiciously like the one I vaguely remember that I got for my 8th birthday only it was an Ivory color then and the hardware on both was brass so that wasn't any different from what I could see.

I see that my luggage that came with me has all been put away as it was mostly clothes and makeup and jewellery and shoes and so I look around at all the clothes to pick out the right outfit. As I was looking though, I heard my father call out my name and so I respond back
