~Chapter 4~
For the past few months, Changbin and Felix have done nothing but hang out with each other. Not long after their initial meeting, Changbin called Felix over to cook. Gradually, the quick cooking visits turned into longer ones. Felix not only cooked but sat down with him to eat, occasionally saying after to watch a movie.
Until there wasn't a moment when he wasn't over at Changbin's apartment, he practically lived there. Most nights, he stayed in his spare bedroom when he was "too tired" to drive home. Changbin always insisted he stayed. Besides going to work, they mostly stayed in, occasionally walking the short distance to Felix's restaurant when he didn't want to cook.
It was an unexpecting friendship, but something the two both desperately needed. Even if they didn't realize it at the time. The two genuinely had the best time together, sharing each other company. Felix loved to cook for Changbin, and he always ate so well.

The two were in Changbin's living room, sitting next to each other on his couch. Felix softly watched him as he focused on the screen, flipping through movies, searching for one to watch. Something they've done almost every night. And he was beyond happy with this, sharing this moment with the older. He loved this, watching movies and just being with him. He hasn't felt this comfortable with someone in so long.
It wasn't like he was tired of it—he just wanted more. It's normal to want more, right? Felix was afraid he would sound selfish if he tried to bring up the idea of something else; Changbin had been so sweet to him, and he liked the calm. So Felix liked the calm for him, but he couldn't help himself.
"Hey, Bin," he softly called, quickly getting nervous when he hummed back at him. "L-Let's..Let's go out," he quickly stuttered out, unsure of his reaction.
"Okay," Changbin smiled as he looked over at him.
"Look before you say no..we wouldn't have to stay–"
"Let's go," he said, setting the remote down on the table.
"Wait..you want to??" Felix shockingly asked.
"If you're going with me, then yes. It'll be fun," he excitedly said, still smiling at him.
"You really want to go??" he asked again, not believing him.
"Yes, Felix," he playfully rolled his eyes, laughing at his still-shocked face.
"Well, I didn't expect you to say yes. Where should we go??"
"Um, I have an idea," Changbin smiled as he stood up. Do you trust me??" he asked as he reached his hand out for Felix's
"I do," Felix replied, putting his hands into Changbin's.
"Then let's change," Changbin smirked, pulling him up from the couch toward their rooms. 'Dress Casually," he added, still smiling, as he opened the door to his room.
"Wait.." Felix tried to say before Changbin closed the door in his face. Felix sighed as he gave up and retreated to "his room," the spare bedroom in his apartment. 'Dress casual,' he softly repeated under his breath as he looked through the small amount of clothes he had left at his place.
It wasn't much but enough to make a semi-decent outfit. He started to overthink himself like he always did, working himself up over which one of the two different colored jackets he should wear. White or blue. Hat or no hat. Hair up or hair down. Stupid things like that.
He eventually settled on an outfit he absolutely hated—a white denim jacket with a lighter grey undershirt, dark grey baggy cargos, and a matching beanie. He quickly went into the bathroom, in the room, to finish getting ready.
"This is casual enough," he muttered to himself as he started at his reflection through the mirror. Squinting as he mentally criticized the choice. "Stop it," he rolled his eyes, feeling himself started to overthink again. He shook his head as he reached down and started the faucet to wash his face. He grabbed the small washcloth hanging by the sink and patted his face dry. He exhaled as he opened his eyes, again staring back at himself.
"Beanie' he softly questioned, looking at the fabric covering his hair. "No," he said before taking it off, deciding against it. He took another deep breath to calm his nerves. He didn't know why suddenly he was so nervous about today. It wasn't like the two weren't almost always together and had never been out. Still, he felt somewhat nervous about it all.
Instead of the beanie, he brushed his hair half up into a bun, leaving some still down in the back. A typical hairstyle he often did, letting his bangs occupy the front of his face. He walked back into the room, looking at himself again in the mirror hanging on the wall, before finally deciding to join Changbin in the living room.
It wasn't surprising that he was waiting for him in the living room; he always finished dressing way before him. Changbin was sitting on the couch, watching a little of the movie he'd started as he waited for the younger. He turned his head to the noise, peeking past the wall to see him.
"Damn," he muttered under his breath; a slight, quick smirk tugged at his lips as he stood from the couch. Walking over to him, slowly letting his eyes trail over his figure, admiring his outfit.
"What??" Felix worriedly asked, noticing his eyes and assuming they were judging him. "I can go change; it'll take me five seconds," he quickly said, letting his anxious mind speak for him as he returned to his room.
"No, Felix," Changbin laughed as he quickly reached for his wrist to stop him. It's fine. The outfit is nice," he said, tightening his grip as he pulled the younger back to face him. You put your hair up," he softly said as his other hand pushed his hair gently behind his ear.
"Y-Yeah.. I-I really like this look," Felix said through scattered breaths, the closeness of the two making him more nervous than he already was.
"Cute," Changbin lowly whispered under his breath before letting him go and walking back towards the couch. "I'll call a car," he said, plopping down and picking up his phone from the table.
"Cute," Felix repeated quietly to himself. 'He thinks I'm cute,' he thought in his head—a shy smile covered his face, matched with a little tint of red lining his freckles as he walked over to Changbin and joined him on the couch. Changbin quickly glanced at him, watching him sit beside him, furrowing his eyebrows as he noticed his sudden restrictive demeanor.
"Don't be nervous," he softly said, reaching for his hand that rested on his thigh. "I promise you'll be fine. I'm your savior, right," he smiled as he gently held his hand in his. "This isn't me owning the title," he quickly defended after seeing Felix smile back at him.
"I just wanted to see you smile," he laughed as he gave his attention back to his phone. Felix relaxed a little, seeing how calm Changbin was. He knew that he'd be safe with him no matter what—his savior.
"It'll be about 10 minutes. Do you want to eat before??" he asked, standing up and walking towards the kitchen. There was no doubt Changbin definitely did. Felix stood up also and followed behind him, sitting down on the bar stool along the island.
He smiled, thinking about the first night he ended up at Changbin's apartment, watching Changbin in the same position, head stuck in the fridge.
"What?" Changbin laughed, turning around with the leftover kimbap from the previous night and placing it on the counter in front of him.
"Nothing..I was just reminded of something."
"Oh," he smiled, unwrapping the packaging. By the time they finished, the car was there. The two walked out, with Felix walking behind Changbin, pestering him, trying to figure out where they were going.
Changbin laughed not uttering a word to him, just continuously telling him he'll see. He opened the door to the car parked in front of his apartment, holding it open as he let Felix climb inside and got in right behind him.
"Relax," Changbin softly said. Again, he grabbed his hand, noticing his nervousness resurfacing. He continued to laugh at the younger many questions.
Seeing Changbin's soft smile helped ease his relentless worries, but he still felt a little uneasy. He couldn't explain why, but the longer they drove, the more nervous he felt. Something about it felt so familiar.~~
