Alia groaned as she sat up. The pain in her stomach becoming very noticeable now she was up and sitting.
She put a hand on her stomach to try relieve the pain but it didn't work at all.
Alia sat on the edge of her bed, letting out a quiet sigh as she looked around the room. She knew what she was supposed to do.
Alia slowly gets up she changes her bandages and gets dressed she puts on sweatpants and a tank top and she put her jacket and shoes on and walked outside. she knew she couldn't walk far with the pain in her stomach.
Ellie was currently sharpening some of her weapons sitting underneath a tree. She was completely focused on sharpening her small knife.
Alia takes a deep breath and walks up to Ellie.
Ellie looks up from her knife noticing Alia she immediately tenses up and stares at her. "oh, Alia what do you want?"
Alia notices how cold her tone seemed but pushes the thoughts away not really caring at this point just trying to get it over with. "I just wanted to say thank you."
Ellie raises her eyebrow. "thank me? why?" She questions still sharpening her knife.
"Because of what happened yesterday" Alia felt uncomfortable talking about it and Ellie definitely noticed that.
Ellie sighs and runs a hand through her hair before speaking. "Did Maria tell you to say that?"
Alia felt exposed how did Ellie know that? But was there really any point of lying now? "Yeah she did." Alia hesitated and speaks up again "But I mean it thank you."
Ellie was surprised but tries to hide it. She bites the inside of her cheek trying not to smile. "You know, there is no reason to thank me."
Alia notices how Ellie is biting the inside of her cheek. "Yeah well you could have just stood there and watched me."
Ellie puts her small knife down and sighs before speaking. "trust me I thought about it"
Alia looks at Ellie and speaks up. "Well you looked pretty stressed from what I remember."
Ellie looks down and thinks about yesterday. She did look stressed not because she was stressed.
It was because she was worried about Alia. But Ellie would never admit that.
"Yeah well anyone's faces would look stressed if they were carrying someone unconscious." she responded looking back up at Alia.
Alia stares at Ellie before she speaks. "Right well I have to get going."
Ellie quickly speaks up. "Wait! Alia look I-"
There was a long silence before Ellie spoke up. "Look I'm sorry for how I've been treating you. I've been an ass for no reason at all."
Alia's eyes widen she was speechless. What. The. Fuck. Did Ellie just apologise to her? But after all this time why now? "Oh? It's fine thx for the apology."
Ellie sighs. "it's the least I can do. Well do you need anything? Is there something I can get for you to make things-" Ellie pauses before continuing. "a bit better if that's possible?"
Alia wasn't sure if she was on earth anymore because she sure as hell didn't expect any of this. "Well I'm running low on bandages and painkillers."
Ellie gets up and looks at Alia before speaking "right, I will get that for you."
"Thx Ellie" Alia says very confused.
"It's no problem Alia." Ellie says her voice sounding a lot softer now and maybe even nervous?
