It was almost midnight Alia walked outside to get some fresh air because she couldn't sleep. Her mind was filled with everything that's been going on lately not to mention Tommy's birthday tomorrow.

Ellie also not being able to sleep due to nightmares of her trauma she walked around. She ended up sitting on the stairs steps in front of Seth's bar putting her face in her hands.

Alia notices 'What is she doing out at a time like this?' she thought before walking over to Ellie

Ellie looked at Alia curiously, and puts a cigarette in between her fingers. "Hey, you're up late."

"I was about to say the same" Alia sits down next to Ellie.

Ellie chuckled softly and looked back at the sky. "Mind if I light up?" She held up a cigarette and looked at her.

Alia laughs "would you not if I said yes?"

Ellie chuckles "maybe I would."

"I'm just messing with you, you can light it"

Ellie lights the cigarette and takes a drag. She looked at Alia for a moment. Alia notices and looks back. Ellie looked away from Alia and took a drag off her cigarette. "Is there a reason you're out here?" Ellie mumbled, smoke coming out of her mouth as she spoke.

"No I just couldn't sleep, What about you?" Alia notices how Ellie's hand is shaking.

"Just, nightmares and stuff" Ellie takes a drag of her cigarette, trying to ignore her shaking hands.

"Wanna talk about it?" Alia said noticing how shaken she was.

Ellie let out a long sigh and turned away from Alia, taking a long drag and exhaling slowly, the smoke gently trailing from her mouth. "It's just the same old stuff, y'know? The nightmares, they keep coming."

"What happened? If you don't mind me asking" Alia looks at Ellie while asking making sure to not make her uncomfortable.

Ellie put her cigarette between her lips and inhales the smoke, Then she looked out at the sky. "It's a long story, not one I like to talk about either"

"That's fine" Alia smiles at her before speaking up again. "It's pretty quiet"

Ellie took another drag of her cigarette "Yeah, it's peaceful tonight"

Alia looked up at the sky, admiring the stars shining brightly above them. "I love nights like these"

Ellie followed her gaze, staring up at the night sky as well "Me Too"

"Which one do you think is shining the most?"

Ellie looked at the sky, contemplating which star she thought was shining the most. "Hmm, I don't know. There are so many... "
She points to a twinkling star in the distance, "That one right there, see it? The one that's all alone, kinda shinin' bright by itself?"

"Yeah I see it" Alia says

Ellie let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, it's been there for a pretty long time. It's like it has no one around it and it's just alone.

Alia looked at her. "Yeah it's kind of sad"

Ellie takes another drag of her cigarette. "Yeah, it's like it wants someone to be with it. To be there for it." She looked back at the star, still staring at it.
Ellie takes another drag of her cigarette, blowing the smoke into the cold air. She looks at Alia who was looking at the sky. She felt kind of vulnerable, like she was letting Alia see a side of her that she doesn't show anyone.
Ellie's heart started to race again and her stomach felt all weird. And she didn't know why. She tries to think of something to say to Alia to distract herself from this weird feeling she felt.

Ellie taps her fingers on her knee trying to calm herself down. She glances at Alia before turning her gaze back to the sky. She's not sure how to sound normal and not nervous. She just felt very weird.

Finally she decides to speak up. "You cold?" Ellie glanced down at Alia noticing the fact she was only wearing her PJ pants and a top.

"A bit but I'll live" Alia was actually freezing her ass off but she tried not to show.

Ellie nods and without thinking, she shrugs off her flannel jacket. She turns towards Alia and holds out the jacket to her "You should take it." Ellie says still feeling those weird feelings in her stomach.

"What Nono I can't- I'm fine really"

"No you're not fine you're shaking like crazy" Ellie's voice is more stern this time but underneath it, there's still a hint of concern

Alia suddenly feels warm and quickly looks to her side.

Ellie puts the jacket around Alia, making sure it's on properly. She feels a bit strange with how close she is to Alia and the fact that her jacket is around Alia.

Alia looks at Ellie and smiles and laughs a bit before speaking. "Thx.."

Ellie tries to hide the slight blush forming on her face. She backs away from Alia and sits back down on the step.
"Yeah it's no problem" Ellie responds trying to act cool but on the inside she felt like a mess.

Ellie looks back at the stars. "See that one?"
Ellie points up in the sky.

"Yeah?"

"It's one of the most beautiful ones" Ellie keeps her gaze fixed on the sky and the stars above, though she can't stop herself from sneaking glances at Alia.

After a while Ellie got very carried away and yapped about all the different kind of planets, stars and stuff like that. She got very comfortable until she feels something on her shoulder.

Ellie's eyes widen when she notices that Alia has fallen asleep and is leaning against her shoulder. She's taken back for a moment and her heart skips a beat. Ellie is now very aware of Alia's head resting on her shoulder. She doesn't know what to do. Should she wake her up? Or should she just sit here enjoying the feeling of Alia leaning against her? It's hard to decide, Ellie really doesn't want to move so she stays there and puts the jacket more around Alia to keep her warm.
