Alia remembers what she mainly came here for.
"Oh! Seth by the way do you have anything I could eat?"
Seth looks at Alia and spoke up. "yeah, I got some pancakes in the back. Do you want some?"
Alia smiles "yeah I want some, I'm starving"
After a while Alia finished her pancakes and now she's paying more attention to Ellie. Alia notices how much she has drank since she walked in. It was a few cans by now. And Ellie didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime soon. Alia was very unsure if she should mention it incase Ellie didn't want to talk about it but she decides to speak up. "hey is everything okey?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" Ellie responds while taking another sip of her drink. *How long had Alia been looking at her while she was drinking* Ellie thought.
"Don't bullshit me Ellie" Alia said
Ellie gets a bit annoyed by Alia's comment. Who was she to question it? And why did she care in the first place?
"What do you mean 'don't bullshit you' everything is fine. I'm fine" she said as she got defensive.
Alia throws her hands up clearly showing she wasn't going to question it anymore.
Ellie was surprised by Alia's reaction. She was actually expecting her to keep questioning her but it seemed like Alia was done.
Ellie sighs and looks down at her drink feeling a bit guilty all of a sudden. She should've just been honest when Alia asked her that question but she just chose to get defensive instead.
Alia looks at Ellie again. She watches her for a bit before she spoke up again.
"You know you can be honest when I ask you a question. I know you're not fine. I'm not blind I have seen how much you have been drinking. But if you don't want to talk about it that's fine just know that I won't judge you Ellie." Alia looks at Ellie.
Ellie was surprised she didn't expect Alia to be so nice and understand. Ellie sighs and runs her hand through her hair.
"I just.." she pauses while looking down at her drink.
"I guess the reason why I've been drinking so much is just.. to forget things" she says quietly and looks at her drink.
"To forget things?" Alia repeated in curiosity.
Ellie sighs and keeps looking down while playing with her empty glass. She was contemplating if she should tell Alia or not.
"Things that I constantly think about and stuff that I'm not.. proud of" she says quietly while clenching her fist
"Oh..." Alia's eyes softens "you know.. we all make bad decisions especially when we are living at a time like this with clickers and infected." Alia pauses before speaking again. "but I want you to know that no matter what you've done it's okey. You had your reasons to do it" Alia says and smiles a bit at Ellie.
Ellie's eyes widen slightly when she looks up and sees Alia smiling at her. This side of Alia was new for Ellie. Seeing such a caring and soft side of her and not the cold and somewhat 'don't care' version of her.
Ellie doesn't respond at first and just stays quiet. She wasn't sure what to say. Was she going soft? Were her eyes stinging because she wanted to cry? No that's not the reason at all. Or was it?
"Yeah I suppose you're right.." Ellie says quietly and lets out a shaky breath.
Alia notices and smiles at Ellie to make her feel better.
Ellie notices Alia's smile and she can't help but smile back at her. She had a weird fluttery feeling in her stomach but she didn't think much of it.
Ellie takes a small breath and speaks up. "You know you can be surprisingly nice" she jokes trying to lighten the mood.
"Me? Yeah you would have realised that if you weren't so busy listening to all the shit Dina says about me."
Ellie sighs. Right Dina. Why did she have to mention Dina?
Ellie pauses for a while and speaks up "yeah yeah I know it's just.. Dina's my best friend yknow"
Alia realises Ellie took that harder than she expected. "Hey I'm messing with you" Alia said with a smirk.
"oh shut up" Ellie said trying to act annoyed but she couldn't stop herself from smiling.
"Tho she did say a lot of shit about me and she is an ass" Alia said smirking again.
Ellie laughs a bit she knew damn well Dina said a lot of stuff about Alia it's not like Dina tried to hide that fact but Ellie didn't understand why Dina was so mad all the time when it came to Alia. "Yeah I know she's not exactly a fan of you."
"Not everyone can be a fan" Alia said and looks at Ellie.
Ellie looks back and locks eyes with Alia. She feels her heart speed up a little bit. It's weird. But it's nothing she was just overthinking right?
Ellie breaks the eye contact and looks down her cheeks turning pink just a little but it's not noticeable. *Fuck.. why am I blushing? Does she notice it? Oh my god why is my heart beating so damn fast?! What is wrong with me seriously Ellie pull yourself together* Ellie thought.
Ellie was still looking down trying to calm herself down and to make it less obvious how she was blushing.
Ellie finally looks back up at Alia her chest still feeling all fluttery.
Ellie finally speaks up "right well I should probably go" Ellie says trying to not sound so nervous but fails.
Alia notices how nervous she sounds and gets a bit confused. "Oh? Yeah of course I'll see you Ellie. Oh and btw are you coming to Tommy's birthday party tomorrow?"
Ellie feels like a dumbass for saying that she'd leave.. she didn't want to leave Alia or her company. She knew she liked being around Alia which she couldn't understand why. But she tried to ignore it she comes back to reality when Alia mentioned Tommy's birthday party. "Yeah I'll come"
Alia smiles when she hears Ellie say that. "great, I'm sure Tommy would appreciate it. I'll see you then Ellie." Alia says.
Ellie pauses for a moment her heart starts beating faster when she sees Alia's smile. She takes a small breath before speaking up again. "yeah I'll see you too" Ellie says before leaving.
Ellie's mind was all over the place. She needed to try and calm her nerves because what the hell was going on?
