Half an hour never went so fast for Clarke. Even after her hands were no longer touching the brunette, the soft pink lips weren't on hers anymore, she could still feel the softness of Lexa's skin and her signature scent, which was a delicate mix of cherries and levander, seemed to soak up deep into her bones and continue its way in the blonde's heart.

It seemed like only a few minutes, before Costia interupted them and told them, that their time was over and The Princess needed to get back to the ball. Clarke wanted to hit her, preferably with something very heavy, for ruining their special moment. But she knew that it wasn't the girls fault and Lexa seemed to be guite fond of her.

The brunnete was also the only thing that occupied her mind, even when she returned back to Arkadia. Her body was almost working on autopilot, when she put her hood back on and slipped into her chambers, using one of the secret underground passageways that were connected throughout the whole city. The tunnels were mostly used by criminals, because for someone who didn't know where exactly they were going, it was a complicated maze with hundreds of possible ways and turns. Fortunately for her, almost nobody used them at night, most people were scared of even leaving their comfortable houses during the dark hours, let alone trying to navigate their way through the tunnels.

Clarke knew the way to her chambers more than she knew herself, she used them every day, when she needed to get somewhere without being noticed. The Queen usually caused a big commotion, but a common merchant girl not so much.

Even tho getting the red color out of her blonde hair, was a pain in the ass every time she had to do it. Fortunately the color didn't seem to be demaging in any way, which was a nice bonus. Clarke really loved her long hair and she was proud of how long and thick they were, she would like it to stay that way.

Clarke closed the heavy wooden door in her chamber, which was cleverly covered by a bookshelf, that went to one of the underground tunnels. That was Raven's idea, the woman was smarter than the devil himself and her hands were made out of gold.

She was also one of the few friends Clarke had left. And most importantly, one of the very few who knew her real indentity, not just being a Wanheda. They've had more than a colorful history between each other, but Raven was the only one who was never scared to call out her bullshit, which was also maybe why she liked her company more than anyone elses.

The blonde made an imaginary note, that she needed to talk to Raven about possibly getting a pair of walkie talkies, so that she could talk with Lexa anytime she wanted, without risking her ass and the more than 10 hour journey to Trikru. But that could wait for tomorrow, today she needed to dive into the tun of paperwork, that was still left at her nightstand. If she had to choose her least favorite part of being a Queen, it was definitely that.

Clarke knew that she had more than enough time to fill it all out, if she started now, and also color her hair back to its signature red color before the sunset. Her guards knew better than to enter her chambers without a direct command, it was the only place where she still had her real privacy and she cherished that more than anything else.

The blonde sat down on her bed, and took the first paper into her hand to take a look. It was just another document about the quantity of goods that was directly transported to Floukru. Clarke knew that she could delegate these boring tasks to someone else, but she liked to know what was happening in Arkadia. She didn't like surprises and this gave her a sense of control.

She started filling out all the needed informations, together with her signature, even when the image of Lexa, laying in her lap with her pink soft lips, which were swollen from their kissing, was more than distracting.

This was going to be a really long night.

Long after the mysterious blonde dissapeared again, Lexa couldn't sleep. Her body still felt like it was set on fire, the pinkness in her cheeks never truly went away, even hours later.

Costia teased her about it for a good while, saying that her face was close to the color of red wine they've had at the ball. But Lexa couldn't really deny that, and the other girl knew it.

Her room all of a sudden felt too big and empty for just one person, and for the first time in her life Lexa felt longing for someone else. Not just for someone's company, but also for their touch and maybe even their lips. She truly didn't think that she would feel like that, especially not when she knew her destiny. But the blonde seemed to change everything for her, claiming her lips as her personal property, together with her heart and soul.

Clarke promised to see her again, they had set up their meeting date for the next day, near the main lake of Trikru. Lexa knew that she could manage to dissapear for a few hours during the night, if she was careful enough and Costia helped to cover for her.

Maybe it was stupid and dangerous to meet someone, that she had only met twice. For the spirits sake, she didn't even knew what Clarke does for work, or why she had even travelled to Trikru after all. For her defense, it was quite hard to ask question while kissing (not that her mind wasn't completely blacked out anyway).

And for a few minutes, Lexa allowed herself to not think about the kingdom or her duty, or purity, or her future spouse. There was only the want to see the blonde again, touch her and maybe even steal some more kisses, if Clarke would allow her to do so.

The brunette pushed every little feeling of guilt to the far back of her mind, knowing that she would have to face it sooner or later. But until that day, she intended to enjoy every second of her new found freedom and take everything, that the blonde would be willing to give her.
