Her chambers in Arkadia were very different than what she was used to in the Trikru's tower. And really not anything that she had expected there.
The space was smaller, around half the size of her own. There wasn't much furniture, other than a big kingsize bed, fireplace and a desk, that was placed right under a big window. It had a very calm and friendly atmosphere, with mainly the shades of grey, dark green and brown.
There was also a carpet, it didn't look like real wool, which meant that it was probably one of Arkadia's inventions from their synthetic material that they were experimenting with. The patern on it was guite beautiful, but very asymetric, it had reminded her of the old paintings that she had seen in books.
Lexa had also noticed, that this was the only room with candles instead of tech, at least from the ones that she was in. Even tho there was still a..lamp? Yes, that was what they had called it. She wouldn't know how to operate the devise and it honestly kind of scared her, the last thing that she wanted to do was to break something in here.
But the thing that had impressed her the most, was the view out of the window and the small balcony, that was accessible out of it. She could see almost the whole city, including the markets, from it and it reminded her of home and safety.
Arkadia's palace was smaller and much lower than the Tower, even the rooms looked differently. On the way to her room, the brunette had noticed that there seemed to be two floors, one on the ground and than a way underground, that staircase was guarded with 4 people, who didn't look happy at all when she was looking their way and observing where it could lead.
Maybe, if she had time, she could try to explore the whole palace. It wasn't like she would be very bussy in here and crying and panicking could wait when she gets back home.
If she gets back home.
But today she was exhausted, the events that had happened just a few hours earlier were still hunting her and she didn't want anything else than to just forget about everything and get some sleep.
But first, she needed to write Costia a letter to let her know what had happened and that she wouldn't be back for some time. She was really grateful that the girl had thought about packing her the paper with stamps, pens and a few envelopes.
Lexa got the needed materials out of her luggage and sat at the desk, where was already an opened bottle of ink prepared for her, just how she had asked the guard, that had escorted her to the room, for.
She dipped the beak of her pen into the ink, not knowing where to start, stopping for just a few seconds to remember what was said word from word.

"You can't mean that seriously. How do you even dare to suggest such a thing-" The king's voice beamed with sudden agression, his tone was full of venom. But by the first step, that he had taken closer to the Queen, the guards were immediately allerted and grabbed their swords, preparing to deal with them before Wanheda stopped them with her hand.
"Do I look unserious to you, Titus? This is as much my matter, as it is yours. And everyone knows, that you would be looking for a suitor for the Princess in the closest weeks. Its the most radical solution." The Queen kept her calm and collected composure, not minding the man's tone. She didn't dare to look at the Princess, not wanting to see the horrified expression that must have surely been on her face.
"Yes. A suitable suitor, someone who could-"
"Help your kingdom? Make sure of her safety and of the safety of your people?" Wanheda tilted her head to the side, clearly listing what her proposal was offering. Of course, she wanted to say so much more but this wasn't the place or time for it.
