Who Knew?

(A/N) I forgot to mention this but the meet and greet happened April 30th.

~~Skyler's POV~~

The days following the meet and greet were pretty average except for the fact that Reed and I texted each other a lot. LOL! But school was starting tomorrow and I knew that our convos would probably become less frequent because of homework and stuff like that. Speaking of school, I still didn't find out what school Reed was going to. It was already 10:00 PM so I figured it was too late to ask now. I'd have to wait until after school tomorrow. After thinking about what might happen at school for awhile, I fell asleep.

~~IN THE MORNING~~

I was dreaming of my class that I haven't seen in a few months. As one of my friends was talking, he stopped mid sentence then he starting yelling "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" In my face. I woke up and realized that the sound of my alarm clock had made its way into my dream. I punched my alarm clock to hit the snooze button but then I realized that today was the first day of school so I got up and started getting ready because I didn't want to be late for my first day of school. I ate eggs and toast for breakfast then I straightened my hair. I put on some light skinny jeans, a teal blue flowy tank top and a white jacket since it was now September 5th and kinda cold out. Hey, that's Canada for you. I brushed my teeth, put on my nike running shoes and my teal blue and black SnapBack and ran outside to catch my bus. Once I was on the bus, I pulled out my iPhone and my earphones and listened to 'Mercy On Me'. The bus stopped in front of the school and all of the kids scrambled through the doors. I went to the office and got the number and combination to my locker. I searched the halls for my best friend, Brooke, I spotted her then ran over and hugged her. She had her hair down straight and was wearing some dark wash skinny jeans, a green plaid shirt with a black tank top under it. She had black pumas on. I yelled to her: "See ya in class!" She nodded her head in reply. Everything was normal until I went to my locker.

~~Reed's POV~~

I was standing outside waiting for my bus wearing some black jeans, a teal blue T-shirt with a black jacket over top and some white and black Adidas high-tops. I was glad I was wearing jeans and a jacket cause the wind was freezing. I was also wearing my domo SnapBack. The bus finally got there and it wasn't long before we were at my new school. I got in the school, got my combination, you know, the usual first-day-of-school thing. There were fourth graders running past me trying to go to their classes. This school went from grades 4 to 8. Wow, my first year at this school would be my last. As I was putting stuff away into my locker, a little fourth grader ran into me and made me stumble backwards hitting someone. I heard the sound of books hit the floor. I turned around and looked at the floor. I had knocked all of some girls books out of her hands! I mentally slapped myself. "Way to go Reed! You embarrass yourself the first 5 minutes in at your new school" I said to myself in my head. I didn't pay attention at first to who it was. I knelt down to pick them up but when I looked up at who I had done this to, I immediately recognized her. "Skyler?" I managed to say, still in shock. She knelt down to pick up her books. She said: "Hi Reed." between laughs. "I am soo sorry Skyler! It was some little kid. He or she bumped into me." I said rambling a little. She just looked at me and smiled giggling a bit. "It's fine. I know how these kids can be." She said still giggling. After we had picked up all her books, we went back to organizing our lockers. I snuck a peak at her and noted that she looked beautiful as always. Her teal shirt really brought out her eyes. After I finished putting my things away, I walked into class and sat down at an empty desk.

~~Brooke's POV~~

I was putting things into my locker when a boy I didn't recognize started to open the one next to me. He must be new. He was blond, had blue eyes and was my hight. He was wearing a red hoodie from Hollister, some dark jeans and some black and red high-tops from Adidas. I have to admit he was really cute. I decided to introduce myself, so I said: "Hi, I'm Brooke." With a smile. He turned and smiled at me then said: "Hey, I'm Benjamin, but you can call me 'Ben' for short." His smile was perfect. "You new here?" I asked already knowing the answer. "Ya, I just moved here from Texas." "Oh cool! See ya in class." I smiled at him then went to class.

~~Benjamin's POV~~

I took the bus with Reed and when we got to the school, we went to our lockers. When I got to my locker, there was a beautiful brunette putting her things away. I didn't want to bother her so I just started getting organized. She introduced herself, we had a short conversation then she went to class. I finished organizing but I was still thinking about Brooke. I went to class and found an empty desk next to Reed.

~~Skyler's POV~~IN CLASS~~

Well that little encounter with Reed was a little strange but I was psyched that he was going to my school in my class! I was snapped out of my thoughts when our teacher, M. Green, walked in the classroom. He greeted us all and then explained to us how the first day was gonna play out. He told us that he would be assigning seats. Ughh. I wanted to sit beside Brooke but I guess that's not happening. The desk were in rows of four. M. Green told each of us where we were to be seated. He started off by saying who would be placed at the back right corner of the classroom. My name was called first so I was in the back right corner. I drifted into deep thought and wasn't paying attention to any of the other names that were being called. I was once again snapped out of my thoughts but this time, it was Reed. His desk was positioned next to mine. "Her there neighbour." Reed said in a weird accent. I laughed and said "Hey" I looked past him to see another new kid (which I'm guessing is his best friend) and then Brooke. Class started and it was boring as usual. We started with Math. When we finished, Reed turned to me and asked: "Who's class are we going to next?" I replied: "We stay in this class all day except for a few times." Reed laughed: "Canadian schools are weird." We both laughed. We started English class then it was finally time for recess. Brooke, Benjamin, Reed and I hung out and just talked. We laughed so many times! It was crazy! We all laughed until we cried at least once. We ended up getting into a rap battle. Me and Brooke vs. Reed and Benjamin. We won with the last verse being:

You say we couldn't rap to save our lives

But you two be filled with lies!

You two so ratchet that you can't be fixed!

How does it feel to get owned by two chicks?

Word!

We ended with our arms crossed and then burst out laughing. Brooke and I high-fived each other while laughing. The boys were laughing too because of how awesome the last verse really was. The rest of the day was fairly normal and Brooke, Ben, Reed and I hung out all day. We had a blast but we all had to go home. I went to bed thinking about how the rest of the week would play out. It turned out even better than I had expected.
