Reed and Romance Both Start With an 'R'

~~~Benjamin's POV~~~

All four of us were in the limo,on our way to our mystery destination. Of course Reed and I knew where we were going. Reed and Skyler sat together on one side of the limo and Brooke and I sat on the other. Reed had his arm around Skyler and they were snuggled together. They looked so happy. I wished me and Brooke could do that too. We sat talking for a about 10 minutes. I finally had the courage to put my arm around Brooke. She scooted closer to me and leaned her head on my shoulder. We kept talking about whatever came to our minds for about an hour. The limo stopped and the driver got out and opened to door for us. Brooke and I got out. I saw Skyler start to get up but Reed grabbed her hand and gave her a cheeky smile. She sat back down. The limo driver closed the door and drove off, leaving Brooke and I standing near a hill. The sky was getting darker by the minute. I led Brooke by the hand over to a blanket with a picnic basket on top of it. I looked at her and she was smiling widely. She turned to me and hugged me tight, her arms around my neck, mine around her waist. We sat down on the soft blanket and I pulled out plates, cups, napkins and utensils. She gave me a confused look. I pointed my finger at someone walking up behind us. He was the waiter. He carried a covered silver platter. He set it down on the blanket and set a pitcher full of water on a tree stump near us. The waiter left, Brooke still speechless. I took the cover off of the platter to reveal sandwiches cut into the shape of a heart. I set one on her plate. She turned to me and hugged me again. God I loved her hugs. They were so warm and welcoming. I poured her some water and we started eating. We talked and talked until we had both finished eating. By the time we had finished, the sky was black and the stars were shinning. I pulled my iPhone out of my pocket and set it down on the stump with the song 'Wanted' by Hunter Hayes playing. I grabbed Brooke by the hand and led her to a grassy area. I pulled her close, my hands on her hips and her arms around my neck. She leaned her head on my shoulder as we swayed, slowly dancing to the song. I sang the last part of the song: "Cause you'll always, be wanted" but I added "By me." I looked into her eyes. They were sparkling like the stars. I pressed my lips against hers and, as cliché it sounds, I felt sparks. No, scratch that. I felt full on nuclear bombs going off. She moved her hand to the back of my head. Everything was perfect in that moment. We released each other and sat down on the blanket, cuddled up since it was getting cold. I could feel Brooke shivering. I asked: "Are you cold?" She nodded yes. I pulled out an extra blanket and covered us up. She snuggled her head into my chest. I gently lifted her head signalling for her to sit up. She did. We were both on our knees. I needed to tell her. It was now or never. "Brooke, I love you. Please be my girlfriend." "I love you too Ben. And yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend." We smiled at each other. I felt her perfect lips crash into mine once again. Now my life was perfect. I pulled the necklace box out of my pocket and gave it to her. She opened it and her jaw dropped. She smiled at me and hugged me, whispering 'thank you' in my ear. I put the necklace on her. We sat there talking and star-gazing until 10:00. Then the limo was there to pick us up. We climbed into it and sat down, snuggled together. Brooke had her head on my shoulder and she eventually fell asleep.

~~Skyler's POV~~AFTER BEN AND BROOKE LEFT~~

I was surprised that we weren't going to the same place that Brooke and Ben were, but that made me even more excited. I snuggled back with Reed as he quietly sang 'Mercy On Me' to me. About 5 minutes later, the limo stopped again and the driver opened the door. Reed got up, grabbed my hand, and led me out. We were at the beach. I couldn't believe it! Reed and I walked down the beach together, hand in hand, for about 15 minutes until I saw a blanket and picnic basket. He pulled three small sandwiches out of the basket and placed them on the plate in front of me. The first was the letter I, the second was a heart and the third was the letter 'U'. I hugged him so tight, I'm surprised his head didn't pop off. We ate and by the time we both finished, the sun was setting. We took off our shoes and walked close to the water, the waves almost hitting our feet. He grabbed both of my hands so we were now facing each other. He then said: " Skyler, you are the most beautiful, funny, amazing, wonderful girl I have ever met. I could go on and on about your qualities and what makes you special. You have made me the happiest boy ever to walk this earth. You are my everything. I love you so much more than you could ever know." "Reed, you've made my life complete. I don't know where I'd be without you. You are my world. You've made me so happy. You're funny, weird, outgoing, sweet and loving. I could go on and on. I love you so incredibly much." And with those words. We kissed. More passionately than ever. It's as if we were putting all of our love into it. Our chests just an inch apart. I wish I didn't need air to survive so that I could kiss him all day long. Our lips parted and we looked into each others eyes. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small box. Inside was a silver necklace with a heart shaped pendant with blue gems all over it and the word 'infinity' inside the heart in white. I looked up from the box into his eyes. He said while taking the necklace out of the box: "The heart represents my love for you." He put the necklace around my neck and tied it while saying: "And the word represents how long I will love you. And that's for infinity." I couldn't believe how much of a romantic he was! I kissed him again, just as passionately as before. He pulled away and sat down on the blanket. He pulled out his guitar. Why hadn't I seen that there before? And he started playing his song 'I Keep Falling in Love'. "And I keep falling in love, I keep falling, falling, falling in love, with you." He sang so beautifully. He finished the song and we sat down on the blanket watching the stars since it was now dark. He used his index finger to gently turn my face towards his. He stared into my eyes and told me: "Your eyes shine just like the stars." He kissed my cheek. We sat and talked for 10 more minuted, then the limo was there to pick us up. We got in the limo and I saw Brooke sleeping on Ben's shoulder. I smiled to myself before sitting down next to Reed. The limo took off and we were on our way home. I leaned my head on Reed's shoulder and he leaned his head on mine. My eyes were getting heavy and I guess Reed had noticed because he kissed my forehead and whispered: "Goodnight beautiful. I love you." I shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep. What a perfect end to a perfect day.
