Melissa was in utter disbelief.
she thought it was fake, she thought she was wandering through the cold, dangerous forest for no reason.
but at last..she had caught sight of what she had been looking for this whole time.
the wooden cabin.
"my..my god..is this it?" Melissa mumbled as she started walking forwards to it, she was fully prepared to witness the wood cabin vanish in a puff of smoke and make her realise that it was just a hallucination, but somehow, it stayed in place, nothing changed about it.
it was real.
more and more of the cabin started appearing in Melissa's view as she got closer and closer to it, she noticed the sides of it look aged, yet the cabin itself still looked sturdy and strong, as if it was only built yesterday.
Melissa's ached legs were basically on autopilot by now as her curiosity dragged her to meet near one of the cabins walls, where a small window sat.
being the shocked idiot she was, she looked through the window..only to see a lovely looking room with nobody living in it.
a soft bed stood in the corner, all of the wooden shelves and cupboards looked like they were handmade, and there were even a few random jars containing many different kinds of plants like herbs and flowers.
the cabin looked like an amazing place to live in, yet nobody was inside..
..well, not currently, but they would be soon.
for Melissa heard a rustling sound from afar.
she thought it was another one of those feral objects again, but as she looked over at where the sound came from, she saw a glimpse of a humanoid figure walking into the clearing.
fuck.
she needed to hide right now.
Melissa started looking around in panic before noticing a large bush nearby, she quickly hopped into it, trying to ignore the leaves and twigs poking at her as she peeked through the bushes leaves a bit.
as she looked over at the figure from afar once again, she gasped internally.
it was a human being, except..it also wasn't.
eventhough the human was far away, Melissa could still see both the small horns on his head and the giant wooden hand he had.
she simply stared at the man in both horror and amazement as she watched him wander over to the cabin while holding a large bag over his shoulder.
"who..is he?" Melissa mumbled as quietly as possible as the man wiped his brow a bit before suddenly beginning to speak.
"whew..today was exhausting..but atleast arctic is teaching his kin well, I just hope they are able to live happy lives together.." wally mumbled as he looked around a bit before suddenly catching sight of a creature that most humans would run from.
a feral object, specifically a tennis ball, had ran over to the man while bleating in panic, eventhough Melissa was only hearing animalistic cries coming from the beast, the man seemed to understand everything it was trying to say.
"wh- hold on, what's wrong?!" wally said with fear in his voice.
"..wait- charcoal's gotten sicker?! h-hes dying?! shit- I've gotta get to the medical cave, now!" wally suddenly yelled before grabbing his bag and beginning to run off as fast as possible, all while Melissa watched.
