Tonight I was having a sleep over at Kate's. My phone started ringing. It was mom. ''They did what?'' Kate looked at me confused, but I was even more confused. ''Is there anything we can do?'' ''This is crazy.'' ''Okay just let me know.'' I hung up. ''They arrested my dad. Well actually the whole team, because they are suspected of robbing a bank''

Kate looked even more confused now. ''Say what now.'' I just shrugged. ''Let's continue the movie.'' She shrugged and put it on play. The next morning when I went home there were a lot of police officers in the house searching the place.

''Mom what are they doing?'' ''Searching for. I don't know.'' She said confused as we both watched them tear up the place. After they left it took mom and me a few hours to clean the mess up.

Not long after the whole team was spoken free and dad got home and told us the craziest story of how the jennator all tricked them. The day went by pretty quick. Me and mom cooked dinner together while dad and Chris played a video game.

Friday I was having my first party since moving here and I was going with Kate. Mom wanted to take me shopping this week for it, which I thought was a very good idea. After we ate dinner we all watched a movie together. Our family was finally complete.

Tomorrow we were going to the beach and I was very excited so was Chris he couldn't stop talking about it. ''You guys should get ready for bed.'' Dad said. ''Okay.'' Mom walked with Chris and I gave dad and mom a hug before going to my own room.

My phone started ringing. It was Kate. ''Hey girl.'' ''He asked me out.'' She screamed into the phone. ''Omg he did?'' I asked just as excited as her. ''Yes yes yes.'' She screamed happily. ''I'm so happy for you.'' ''So he is taking me out for dinner tomorrow night.'' ''Sounds fancy.'' ''I guess.'' ''What's wrong?''

''I don't have anything nice to wear. Can I come snoop in your closet?'' ''Sure. Let him pick you up at my house I will get you ready.'' ''I love you.'' I just laughed. ''Mija are you going to sleep?'' Dad said, opening my door. ''Yes sorry.''

''Well, I love you too. See you tomorrow text me how late you will be here.'' ''I will. Bye.'' ''Bye.'' I grabbed my book from my nightstand and decided I wanted to read a little before going to sleep.

I kept on turning and turning not being able to sleep. I grabbed my phone looking at the time, it was already 4 AM. I remembered my first date, the best ever. Matteo took me to an indoor adult play in. It was the most fun I ever had. After that we went to get burgers and ice cream. It was the best day ever.

It was already light outside when I finally fell asleep. It felt like I had only slept for 10 minutes when Chris woke me up. It was probably not 10 minutes, but it was definitely not longer than 3 hours.

''Sissy wake up. We are going to the beach.'' ''I'm up.'' I gave Chris a kiss on his head. ''Mommy is making pancakes.'' ''Oeeh I guess I will hurry up then.'' Chris walked out of my room and I slipped on a green sundress and grabbed my book and phone.

''Morning sunshine.'' ''Morning.'' ''Did you sleep well? You look really tired?'' Dad noticed everything as always. ''Long night.'' ''Well maybe the pancakes will make you feel better.'' ''They will.'' Chris said, pushing a big piece in his mouth.

After we all eat breakfast and dad and I did the dishes we grabbed our stuff and went to the beach. Chriss immediately wandered of playing with the sand. I just lied down besides mom and dad and opened my book.

I was just not in the mood for reading so I decided to help Chris build his sand castle. ''Hey buddy. Can I help?'' ''Yes please.'' We built a few sand castles. ''It's like a village.'' ''It kinda is isn't it?'' I said laughing.

I looked back and saw that mom and dad were in a very serious talk. ''Wanna make more castles?'' ''Yeah.'' Chris said happy. We went home very late in the afternoon. When we got home I quickly took a shower and when I got out, Kate was already waiting in my room.

''Hey.'' ''Hey'' I said, hugging her. ''Well, help yourself to my closet.'' ''Omg that would look amazing on you.'' She pulled out a bordeaux dress with a v neck and a loose skirt attached. The back was lace. ''Can I try it?'' ''Of course.'' She tried it on. Because she was a bit longer than me it made the skirt a little shorter, but not in a bad way.

''Wow, you look amazing. Turn.'' She did a full spin. ''I feel so pretty.'' ''You definitely look it.'' ''Thanks.'' She looked at her phone. ''Omg he is here.'' ''Breathe my mom will open the door.'' I put on her mascara and we made our way out of my room.

''Wow.'' My mom said, ''You look beautiful.'' Tyler said, holding her hand. ''Thanks.'' ''Have fun kids. Don't make it to late.'' I said making my parents laugh really hard. ''I'll call you.'' Kate says, making their way to the door. ''You better.''

I turned around and looked at my parents. ''You guys look fancy.'' ''Well thank you. We are going out or dinner so Carla will come.'' Mom said. ''Okay have fun.'' Carla made spaghetti which was actually kind of nice.

When my parents came back from dinner they looked very distant. ''How was dinner?'' Carla asked oblivious to the tension. ''It was great.'' Mom tried putting on a fake smile. ''I'm going to bed.'' She said, giving me a hug.

''I'm going to bed too. Night Carla. Night dad.'' I said giving them a hug. ''Night Mija.'' Dad gave me a kiss on my forehead. The living room light stayed on very long and when it was out, so was I.
