((A/N: Anything in italics is a character's thoughts.

Let's pretend that this occurs before the ending of Tokyo Ghoul and Kaneki is still working in a coffee shop.

See end of chapter for more notes.))

By the time the bell rang, Classroom B was still half empty, implying that either Class B was a very small class or half of the students in Class B truly did not give a fuck about school. Most likely the latter, as many of our precious little characters are teenagers and truly do not give a fuck about anything.

Classroom B seemed fairly normal, aside from the lack of sunshine coming in through the windows due to some very thick curtains. This was because the entirety of Class B were vampires, aside from the poor ghoul trapped with the class. Luckily, they weren't the sparkling, constantly staring, Twilight type of vampires. Okay, maybe some of them stared a bit at others, but at least they didn't sparkle.

If one were to perform a closer inspection of the classroom, they'd find a small container of blood tablets (Just add water for a satisfying blood substitute!) in every desk along with a waterbottle. Towards the back of the room was a refrigerator cleverly concealed as a small closet for school supplies. In said fridge was some actual, human, O negative blood just in case some certain vampires went insane and bit human students. This would avoid the issue of having to rush said bitten student to a human hospital and having to explain why the student was animated instead of flesh and bone. Alongside the blood were some unidentifiable chunks of meat for a certain ghoul just in case he became ravenous. If it were a human inspecting the classroom for its hidden details, they would most likely NOT want to know what organism the mystery meat came from.

An adjacent storage cabinet held extra blood tablets and water bottles. They probably weren't necessary, but it was better to have extra supplies than a hungry vampire running around the school.

Along one side of the classroom were a row of large windows which, as stated previously, were covered by heavy curtains to keep the sunlight out. In the front was a standard whiteboard. Along the other side were a series of bookshelves filled with books. Not that many characters of Class B would read them, considering a lot of them couldn't even be bothered to show up in class on time.

Yui, Shu, Ayato, Laito, Kaneki and Zero were still missing from class when the bell rang.

A minute after the bell had rung, a boy with black hair hurried into the classroom. "Sorry I'm late!" Kaneki shouted to no one in particular. "I had to help out at the coffee shop before school."

Kaneki then looked around the classroom and noticed a man with glasses reading one of his favorite books. He slowly approached the man.

"Do you like that book too?" Kaneki asked quietly. "Of course." replied the man. This man was known as Reiji.

Little did the two know at the time that their love of the same book would eventually lead to friendship.

Kanato sat in the back corner of the room, next to the window. His teddybear was held tightly in his arms. Staring out the window, he sighed.

"Anime school isn't as fun as we thought it would be, huh, Teddy?" The purple haired boy directed his question to his teddybear as if it could answer him.

Just then, a blondie ran into the classroom. Bite marks could be seen on her neck, but she quickly pulled the collar of her shirt up to hide them. This girl was Yui.

Following behind her was a young man with red hair walking at a slow pace. This was Laito.

"Oi, slow down, Bitch-chan. It doesn't matter if we're late or on time." Laito said calmly.

Kanato stood up with his Teddy and headed towards Yui, who had taken a seat in the front of the classroom. "Yui, I want tour blood." Kanato stated calmly as if he had said something completely normal. Of course, he was a sadistic, deranged vampire, so it was probably normal for him to say that.

"School rules specifically forbid the drinking of another student's blood!" shouted Yuki as she crossed the classroom to the other two vampires. "There are blood tablets in every desk if you're hungry."

"Tch." Laito appeared behind Yuki. "Are you jealous, Bitch-chan?" he asked as he wrapped his arms around the brunette and moved his mouth towards her neck. "Don't worry ... I'll help fix that."

Meanwhile, Subaru was watching this entire event occur from his spot at the back of the classroom.

Yuki quickly shoved the red head away. "If you bite anyone, I'll be forced to report you to one of the principals!" she declared with a no nonsense tolerated attitude.

Kanato began to cry with a creepy smile still on his face. "I WANT YUI'S BLOOD!!!" Kanato screamed as he punched the window next to him. He picked up the desk in front of him and threw it, sending it crashing into the white board. Both the whiteboard and the desk broke.

A tranquilizer dart hit Kanato. As he fell to the ground, a black haired man walked into the classroom. He stopped upon reaching the center of the room and turned to face the class. "Good morning. My name is Mr. Kogami. I am your fighting teacher." Mr. Kogami gestured to the now sleeping purplette. "If any of you freak out or try to attack another student, that will happen to you. You'll be knocked out for an hour and awaken with a mild headache. And now..." He opened the suitcase that he had carried into the classroom with him to reveal several weapons. "Who's ready to learn how to fight?"

Ayato chose that very moment to walk into class and declare his presence. "Ore-sama arrives when Ore-sama wants to!"
