Alessia's pov
"Are you sure this is what you want to do?"

"Yeah, mom. I mean, I miss it, just not her." I respond

"Okay, if you're sure. We can contact Erin Babbs and see if the offer is still up and go from there" My mom tells me and I nod

Erin Babbs: Italics
Ale: normal

The call
So, you really quit dance?
Yeah, it just wasn't good for me and my family anymore. It was pretty toxic
I could see that, babe. Well, listen. If you ever change your mind, you always have a place to dance here at MDP. And your sister too, of course
Thank you so much for that
Anytime, A. Now, I have to go back to teaching, but let me know if you ever need to talk again
Thank you again, bye
Bye bye my love
End of call

"Do you want to call her? Let her know?" Mom asks me and I nod and take out my phone. It rings for a moment before Erin picks up

The call
Hello?
Hi, this is Ale
Oh, hey Ale. What's up?
Um, well, I was talking with my mom and I was thinking about dancing again and I was wondering if I would still be able to dance for you
What? Oh my God this is amazing! Of course you can.
Thank you
Of course. Come on down whenever, and we can talk. Get you signed up for classes, maybe a competition soon?
That sounds great, thank you
Anytime. I hope to see you soon
Same
Okay, bye babe
Bye
End of call

"She said I could come whenever" I tell my mom when I get off the phone

"Great. We can go down tomorrow maybe?" My mom suggests and I agree. I hope I'm making the right decision with dancing again

The next day

"You excited?" My mom asks while we're in the car

"Yeah, nervous too" I respond before going back to looking out the window

The two of us were going down to MDP. Erin already told me to wear dance clothes and I can start a class today, maybe learn a dance too depending on what I was feeling like. So I'm wearing black lululemon leggings and a camo lululemon bra with my hair in a ponytail. I also had my black define jacket over it for now

After 10 more minutes in the car, we arrived at the dance studio. I grabbed my dance bag and the two of us headed inside

"Hi!" Erin exclaims as we walk in. She immediately jogs over to hug my mom and I. "It's so good to see you guys"

"You too" I smile

"Well, we have a senior turn class starting in 10 minutes if you want to join that. Totally on me, don't worry about it." Erin informs us

"Yeah, thank you" I nod

"Perfect, and one more thing. There's a competition in a few weeks, you don't have to decide now, but I think it might be fun for you to compete in it, you know?" Erin says

"That sounds fun. And we'll have more than two days to learn the dances so" I laugh as I trail off and my mom and Erin join me

"Ahh, fantastic. I am so, so excited for you to be here. So, Aria, you can join some of the other moms in the waiting room, or do whatever you want. Ale, follow me to the dancers room where you can get ready" Erin takes my hand and I follow her after saying bye to my mom. We walk down a hallway before she opens the door. There's about 10 other girls in the room, and they all look over when the door opens

"Ladies, this is Ale. I'm sure you all know her. She's going to be taking the class with you and competing in a few weeks. Make sure you make her feel welcome" Erin tells them and they nod. I walk over to them to start stretching and getting ready. I learn all their names, and they all seem so nice and welcoming, unlike some of the girls at the ALDC

After 10 minutes, the class starts. I was a little rusty at first, but eventually I got back in my groove. Luckily all my talent stayed even though I haven't taken any classes in a while, just danced sometimes in my basement studio in Pittsburgh

"That's it, great job girls." The teacher, Rory, says as she ends the class. "You did an amazing job, Ale"

"Thank you so much" I smile

I then go back to the dressing room and change back into my street clothes. I say bye to all the girls, teachers that I met and Erin before my mom and I leave.

So far I like MDP a lot more than ALDC. Everyone's competitive, but they're also a family. And there's no obnoxious yelling or anything. I think it'll be nice
