~ Tim's P.O.V ~
"Thanks for filling in for me, Brian." I looked in the mirror to double check that I was ready. I ditched the yellow jacket for the same leather one I wore on our date, threw on a dark green undershirt and black cargo pants. I don't know why I care, I was going to have to kill her eventually. These feelings are nothing but a new excitement that would be gone once I sleep with her. "Alright, I'm heading out." The hooded man nodded in response.
"Where is your jacket?" he asked.
"Don't need it." I shrugged. Even though I couldn't see his face I could tell he was confused. "I'm just going out for a drink." He nodded once again to show he understood before turning back to his book. I flicked my wrist in a wave over my shoulder before walking out of the room.
Despite the time it took to convince Toby to allow me to take the car bearing license plates, I got to the bar in time and took off my mask, throwing it in the passenger seat with my jacket. Having ditched the stolen convertible from the night before, this was the best I could do. When I walked in I immediately noticed Alex, she was standing across the room talking to a group of maybe five people, but that's not what drew my eyes to her. There were a good number of eyes on her leaving me to wonder if I should feel pride or jealousy. She looked gorgeous, her red short skirt and garter belt particularly drew my eyes. She was standing with a small group of people I didn't recognize, the fifth member of their little group was Emma. I began to walk over to them, trying to hide my annoyance of other people. I rested my arm on Alex's shoulders. She turned to look at me with a smile.
"You made it!" Emma cheered.
"Who's this?" The guy closest to Alex asked.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Everyone, this is Tim, my boyfriend." The other girl's face immediately lit up upon hearing this, but the guy who asked looked aggravated. I felt Emma elbow me in the side, I turned to look at her.
"Ignore Spencer, he's harmless." she whispered, gesturing to the man glaring at me.
"Um..yeah, okay." as if he posed a threat to me.
"Let's go get you a drink." Alex suggested, reading the awkward atmosphere. She took my hand in hers and began walking towards the bar. We sat in the bar chairs, me on one side of her and one of the girls from the group on the other. Her and one of the other men were talking to Alex, from eavesdropping on the conversation I learned the girl's name was Sydney and the man was Mike. The two were married. I felt eyes on me, and turned to see who was staring at me. The man who was glaring at me from earlier had followed us over. Again I noticed his lack of eye contact when Alex was speaking. I reached my hand over resting it on her thigh, she turned to me to look at me, and probably make sure it was my hand and not some drunk. As soon as she confirmed it was me a light blush dusted her cheeks. I glanced towards the guy with a cocky smile, who was very obviously showing he was very pissed.
"Tim help us out!" I heard a voice laugh. I turned to see who called me, it was Sydney.
"Oh keep him out of this! I have to drive home Sydney!" Alex hissed playfully.
"You don't have to be drunk, just one song?" Sydney pleaded. I had absolutely no idea what was going on I was too distracted by Spencer. "Tim!" Sydney edged
"Hm?" I asked.
Help me get Alex to sing a song with me!" I looked over to the stage, there was a karaoke machine.
"Ah, so you like karaoke?" I smiled at Alex
"No, but she is darn good at it. We try and get her to sing every time we come here." I was about to join in on the persuasion when I felt a buzz in my pocket. I removed my hand from Alex's thigh to pull out my phone.
