The Visit

~ Alex's POV ~

I opened my eyes. I felt the soft light fabric of my blankets wrapping my body that had sunken into my somewhat comfortable mattress. I was about to roll over and try to force myself back to sleep when I remembered today was my day off. I shot up and groaned cupping my head in my hands.

"Head rush" I hissed. I turned and pushed myself off the bed, the cold wooden floors causing me to shiver. I quickly put on socks and got changed, I debated wearing a crop top but decided I didn't want to waste all the time and makeup necessary to cover everything. In the end I decided on a black body suit with some black cargo pants over it. I pulled my black and red hair into a ponytail and tightened the black leather belt I had on. I pulled on my combat boots and opened the door against the wall at the foot of my bed, the bathroom. Not all the rooms had one but a decent amount did. I quickly did my makeup and checked to make sure everything looked okay in the mirror. I tucked some stray strands of my hair behind my ear and studied my brown eyes for a second. I clasped on my black choker and pulled on some fingerless gloves. Once I was satisfied I opened the door and grabbed my bag excited to go an visit my best friend.

I practically skipped to the stairs. I sat on the rail and slid down before entering the dining room. Once I entered a familiar male turned to face me. A large smile appeared on his face as he saw me.

"H-hey! E-excited for y-y-your day off?" He asked. I nodded returning the grin "C-catch!" He exclaimed before throwing a piece of toast over his shoulder.

"Thank you~" I hummed as I took a bite and pivoted to leave. I gave a quick wave to Toby before exiting the mansion. I stuffed my left hand in my pocket and used the other to hold my piece of toast. I took my time to walk over to my car, It was going to be a decently long ride. I placed my bag containing my knives (Just in case), wine, cookies, and a scarf I had bought for my dear friend on the passenger seat. I started my car and began my hour long journey. I kept myself occupied with my windows rolled down as I sang along to my aux. Escaped strands of my hair whipped in my face as I drove. I felt myself growing even more excited as I slowed to a stop in front of...yet another forest. I parked and climbed out, grabbing my bag in the process. I swung it over my left shoulder and began to walk through--again, another forest. I followed the barley visible trail created by the steps of the few people who walked in these woods until I reached a small cabin. I brought my fist to the door and gave a few soft knocks. Moments later the door opened slightly, the deadbolt still locked in place, leaving me face to face with a familiar male.

"Alex! come in!" He beckoned as he quickly unlocked the deadbolt. He pulled the door further open and stepped to the side allowing me to enter. I walked in as he closed the door behind me. I took a few moments to look him over, it had been about two weeks since I had seen him last. His brown hair was neat and his green eyes were as bright as ever. He was very tall and practically loomed over me, he was at the very least six foot. He had a black shirt on and his usual green jacket, and of course his black and white stripped scarf. I sighed and pulled him into a hug

"It's good to see you Liu!" I smiled. He hugged back and we stayed like that for a brief moment.

"You as well." He replied.

"Oh! I brought some things!" He walked to the dining room table and pulled out a seat for me before taking his place in the seat across from me.

"You didn't have to do that." He sighed. I rolled my eyes playfully before pulling out the wine and cookies.

"I also bought you a scarf, I know you like the one you have but in case you have any other visitor's this winter." I smiled. He beamed at me and said thank you before offering some tea.
