Ch. 5: Consequences.

Tw! Death (it was my brother's idea please don't jump me) and stuff idk

I woke up very tired. I didn't want to get out of bed but I was so hungry.

"Sonic, Amy told me to tell you food is ready." said Knuckles.
"Okay. thanks big guy" I responded, groaning. I should probably take a nap later so I'm not as tired.

I walked down the stairs slowly. I was still wearing the same clothes I had the previous day because I didn't know where my pj's were. I repetitively yawned as I walked down the stairs, my eyes were a bit heavy but I continued to make my way to the kitchen.

"Looks like someone had a rough sleep." said Tails.
"Yea I couldn't sleep so I might just take a nap later." I said while stretching once I reached a seat and sat down.

Throughout the breakfast time I kept spotting Tails looking over at me. I didn't really put much attention to it though, I just wanted to eat, sleep, and sleep some more. At some point, Knuckles and Amy catched onto the glares Tails was giving me. No one said anything. I was just focused on finishing then going back to my room.

After eating and cleaning up the kitchen, Tails was in his room which was close to mine, Amy entered his room. I could hear them talking but couldn't make out what they were saying. I didn't really want to eavesdrop but it's the two people that have somewhat catched onto me hiding "something". I just felt the need to know what they were on about. I walked out of my room and tried my best to step as quietly as possible as I headed to Tail's room door. I leaned in closer towards the door to listen better.

"Yea I noticed that too. What do you think is going on?" I heard Amy ask.
"I don't know. We are his friends, what could ever make him not trust us?? We tell everything to each other, especially now because we are the only people that we have. It doesn't make sense." responded Tails, he sounded like he was trying to figure it out in his head.
"Should we try to talk to him about it? He didn't want to tell me when I confronted him about it but you're closer to him than me so maybe he will if you ask? We also can't really force him."
"I can try. And yea, that wouldn't be right. Still though."

I stood back up correctly, 'I need to make something up, and quick.' I thought to myself. I walked back to my room, trying to not make a sound.

"Okay okay, think." I whispered while looking around the room. "What if I just go out? Yea, i'll go out, once i'm back they'll hopefully be too tired to say something? I'd have to come back late at night though.." I grabbed a tote bag, gun, water bottle, and some snacks. "I'll figure it out." I also grabbed some yarn and a hook. I stuffed it all in the tote bag and headed down stairs. I walked to the kitchen where Knuckles was found eating a snack. He looked up at me.

"Need anything?" he asked.
"No, I just wanted to tell you that I'm going to go out for a walk. I'll be back soon, tell the others that too if they ask."
"Will do. Stay safe blue hedgehog.''
"I always am, thank you. Bye see ya later!" I waved at him as I turned around and walked to the front door.
"Good bye."

I walked out of the house and ran off. I had no directions of where I was going. I just knew I needed a place to hide so that I'm not just out in the open. I wanted to keep running but my bag was making it difficult. I tried my best to stay near the shadows so that I couldn't be spotted as easily.

I was met with a building that connected to another. Both were tall and by the looks of it, it seemed to be two apartment buildings. They looked unstable and really worn out but it's pretty big and had two parts to it so I thought it would be my best shot to hide in. I went inside the building closest to me, everything looked so wrecked. 'What happened to this place??' I asked in my head. I went to the third floor. The stairs were pretty destroyed but it still wasn't impossible to go up. I couldn't go to the fourth floor though. I walked down the hall looking at every room. Some of them had some part of their walls broken, others didn't even have a door. I had finally found one that seemed like a good apartment to stay in. I entered and closed the door behind me. I wanted to look around so I opened the door that seemed to be the bedroom but once I did I was met with a gun point. It startled me and I put my hands up to show that I came in peace. The person that pointed a gun at me seemed to be a child, 10 maybe? She seemed really scared.
