Choosing

Bella pov :

I walk into practice that Nika has . She flew me out to talk. I sit down as dribbles the ball . She passes a girl and another yellow jersey matches her speed. She guards the defense player well . "Nika assist" her coach tells her. "Guard !!" She runs up for a lay up and the other player collapses with her . She body hits the floor and a crack echos the room . "Medic!!" Her coach screams.

I froze . Her screams fill the room . "Fuck...don't touch it ..don't ..touch please don't touch it". Oh no . She hold her knee as her teammates run in . I get off my seat and run to her . "Nika!!" I yell . I slide on the floor as she screams . "Hey I got you breath.. I'm right here" I stroke her head as they move her and she screams more. Her hand hits the glossy floor as they pick her up .

They sit her down as she cry's her lungs out . Medics rush in taking her and I fallow . They put her in an ambulance and I hop in the back . I grab her hand . "It's okay you're gonna be okay baby I promise" she grips my hand . She hasn't said a word . My heart pounding and I'm getting anxious.

"Get her to OR I'll meet you there tell them to prep a room and Paige surgeon Michele"
I wait in the waiting room for five hours . I feel a light tap on my shoulder. Nika moms and dad are flying out . "Bella is that correct?". I nod . "Miss mühl is out of surgery she tore her ACL and fractured three main ligaments" that's bad really bad.

"Can I see her please ..I'm her girlfriend" she nods and I speed walk into the hall until I rush into her room . She's in a blue gown with blankets covering her half body and the other half with a bandage wrap . Her eyes flutter open . "Hey your awake" I say lowly . She looks around and see her knee .

"My career...it's done" she cry's . "Hey no it's not ...this is just a minor set back" she throws head back "you have no idea what this means ..how serious this is for me" .i drag a chair next to her bed . "Your right I don't , I don't play basketball at all if anything I'm still very much learning but Nika you are a fighting and dare taker ...your secretary of defense mühl your delayed not denied" I say confidently .

She looks at me . She grabs my hand . "We need break up" four words . I felt my stomach turn . "What?" Tears well up in my eyes blurring my vision. "You like Paige to..and I'm making a choice that will prevent me getting hurt in the future baby..I'm not doing this for me ..because god knows I'd keep you..but if you did cheat on me once there will be chances it'll happen again ..and I can't handle that" she says as tears fall down her red cheeks.

"Nika please-." She cuts me off and kisses me . "You're falling in-love and it's not with me Bella as much as I want it to be me ..it's not and no matter how much love I'll give you ..it won't ever be enough ..because I'm not the person your heart beats for" she says letting my hand go. I sob and walk out the room running into people trying to fight for air . I get out and it's raining . Cold water hits my face as I cry and look into the sky . "God please ..it's hurts..please" .
