like a fool
my compliments
watering dry ground
hoping you'd bloom
but nothing ever grew
we had it all
at least thats what i thought
but what's love worth
if it meant nothing
to you
am i still the greatest?
i held on too tight
wanting what i gave you
but it slipped right through my fingers
man,
we really could've been
