Guy Crimson POV

How long has it been since the deal we made? 10,000 years? 100,000 years? Or perhaps a million or more? Either way, I can't help but feel excited about what's to come in the next few years.

With Holy Energy seeping back into the Human World, the other pantheons must have noticed by now. They're likely preparing their forces to attack Heaven. The only ones who might stay out of this conflict are the Hindus, but considering how powerful those guys are, it's understandable. They're beyond playing in leagues weaker than their own.

God has made far too many enemies, and those enemies are arming themselves, preparing to grow powerful enough to oppose Him. This next Great War could cripple His faction.

" Lord Crimson, is there something amusing? "

The feminine voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned toward Klurts, my personal maid who handles all my affairs. She had spoken to me without permission, and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

" You're speaking without my permission? It seems you've become quite arrogant, Klurts, " I said, letting a heavy, fake arrogance seep into my tone, curious to see how she'd react.

Klurts instantly recognized the test in my words. She bowed deeply. " I am very sorry, My Lord. It shall not happen again. "

I waved her off, moving on to more important matters. " What about the condition of those two devils? Are they awake yet? " I asked, eager to hear what they had to say. After all, not everyone who visits Purgatory is merely here for sightseeing.

Klurts straightened up, presenting a screen that showed the two devils walking toward my throne room. " They are up and about, most of their internal and external injuries have healed. However, they're in no state to fight, having exhausted their energy. With demons of Ignis's level around, they're wary of engaging in any conflict here, " she reported like the competent secretary she is.

I nodded and gazed toward the distant future, feeling the weight of destiny approaching. My destined opponent... ' Rimuru or Ciel, it doesn't matter what name you go by. I will fight you on the Human World, as fate has decreed! '

A smile tugged at my lips. The day is coming to a close, and the battle I saw in my dreams draws nearer. A battle that will be remembered for centuries to come.

Third Person View

Just outside the massive, icy doors of the Throne Room, both Sirzechs and Ajuka stood still, gazing at the majestic entrance with a mix of caution and awe. They were no strangers to the grandeur of Purgatory, but even now, the weight of the place seemed to bear down on them. Despite the harsh trials they'd endured during their brief time here, they felt something stirring within—an immense sense of growth. Both devils knew that they had become exponentially more powerful. What they needed now was time to temper these newfound strengths, to push their limits even further and truly understand the full extent of their potential.

It was a stark contrast to how they had felt before entering Purgatory. Back then, it had seemed as though they'd hit a plateau, unable to progress as rapidly as they had in their youth. Of course, they had still grown stronger, refining their techniques and power incrementally, but it wasn't enough to satisfy them. With a looming war on the horizon, their hunger for power had never been greater. Yet, despite their relentless focus on training, they could no longer confidently say they had the strength to stand against the Angels of Heaven. Unlike the devils, the angels were growing stronger at a remarkable pace, creating a widening gap that only deepened Sirzechs and Ajuka's sense of inadequacy as the primary defenders of their realm.

But after their battles with Ignis and Tenebrae in Purgatory, something had changed—something they hadn't felt in years. Growth. Real, tangible growth. Their powers had surged without limit in those clashes, evolving so rapidly that they felt as though they had achieved what would have otherwise taken centuries of training. For the first time in a long while, they believed they might actually stand a chance against the angels. And this newfound confidence wasn't just personal; Sirzechs was already thinking about how he could pass on his insights to the other Satans and devils, to make them stronger as well.
