Richard "Richie" Spears is friends with Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Shaggy Rogers, and their best dog, Scooby, as where goes on mystery on whenever they goes, as where Richie have a crush on Daphne Blake.

Richie is walking towards the Mystery Machine with Shaggy walking beside him and how Shaggy is worried about his best friend.
"Rich, are you okay, pal?" Shaggy asked the dirty blonde boy.
"I'm okay, Shaggy, but I'm just upset." Richie said.
"Like what?" Shaggy asked Richie
Richie signs as Scooby looks at him with puppy dog eyes, which makes Richie pet his head.
"Just that Fred thinks that the plan that ALL of us just did thinks it's all him and..-"
But Richie was cut off by something. He can't think of something, but one thing that worries him much more than the case is the Luna Ghost. It's much more......
Daphne
"And what? Rich?" Shaggy asked
Richie looks at his tall friend, "Daphne, and how I can be so stupid of how I get kissed by another girl beside her."
Richie has known Daphne for a while, but where they are best friends at first, but after one case, that both of them did together, the two fell for each other. Richie also knew that this was supposed to be the night that Richie is gonna do for Daphne.
"Richie, don't be like that. You are the best, maybe that lady thinks that you are hot also like Fred, right Scooby?" Shaggy said.
"Ruh Roh!" Scooby said to Shaggy as he nodded his head.
"Thanks, Shaggy, but I was about to give Daphne of this." Richie said as he got something from his jacket.
Both Shaggy and Scooby get confused about what Richie is talking about, but that is until Richie pulls out a small box, which is a necklace that has both of Richie's and Daphne's First and Last name initials and where it also have diamonds on them, the yellow for Richie's and the pink is Daphne's:

Both Shaggy and Scooby look amazed by this and where they knew that Daphne would love it after a few years of dating.
Although Daphne turned to Richie's back and said, "What are you boys looking at?"
It spooks Richie as he quickly puts the necklace away and where he turns his turn around, as his face is red.
"N..nothing." Richie said to Daphne.
Daphne looks at Richie in annoyance, "What do you mean 'nothing?' Like you are trying to keep a secret from someone."
Richie shakes his head, Richie will never do that unless it's something special.
"Dap, I was not." Richie said
Daphne signs by this as she continues to glare at the dirty blonde man.
"Oh wow, you are just like Fred also, you know what, Richie?, we are through." Daphne said.
Those words just shock Richie, as if an arrow just shoots his heart in pieces.
Velma shakes her head as if she can't stand any of this anymore.
"I quit."
The rest of the gang looked at Velma, shocked at what she just said, although Daphne looked at Velma and signs annoyance.
"What?, you quit?, no, I was gonna say this, now people think I just copied off by the smart girl!" Daphne complains.
Fred looked at Daphne and said, "What?, no way, I quit too."
Richie looks at Fred, Daphne, and Velma and doesn't understand why, but at the same time, he says, "You know what?, I quit too."
Shaggy gets confused, "Guys, you're not serious about this, right?"
Richie, look at Shaggy in a sad look and shake his head as a no.
"I'm sorry, Shaggy and Scooby." Richie said
As Fred, Velma, and Daphne leave, Richie has time to hug Shaggy a bit and pet Scooby before leaving to his car, in which Richie doesn't bring it a lot, but depends on any case or if the Mystery Machine is broken down.
Richies cries a bit of what just happened from His, and Daphne broke up to the gang to go to their separate ways.
Richie hates it, but at least to give the gang some time off from each other.

◇ TWO YEARS LATER ◇
It's been a while for Richie to get some time off, where he spends his days as a lifeguard at the beach and where every lady sees him wants to get his attention.
But, the only love that Richie has is for Daphne only.
Richie still has the necklaces, but it still broke him of when it comes to their breakup and how Richie still have the photo of him and Daphne when they first meet.

Richie had to get back to work to be a lifeguard, but that is until one of his co-workers, Lana, sees him.
"Hey, Richie, you know you can take a break or a vacation or something." Lana said to the dirty blonde boy.
Richie turns to Lana, "You sure?"
"Yeah, but I think a new vacation, I believe called, "Spooky Island", is open, and you can take my ticket if you want, I really want to go, but I will be out of town with my family throughout the whole summer." Lana said to Richie.
The brunette girl gave the ticket to Richie, as where Richie thought about it at first, but then decided he could go on a bit break.
